  • Patent number: 11963727
Abstract: Mitigating a user interface display function of a modular energy system includes receiving formatted video data at a video data converter circuit, providing differential video signaling data to the display from the video data converter circuit, providing a copy of the differential video signaling data to a processor, and determining that the differential video signaling data is changing over time. Mitigating erroneous outputs from an isolated interface includes receiving a state of a first switch of a first footswitch coupled to a first comparator and a reference voltage coupled to the first comparator, receiving the state of the first switch coupled to the first duplicate comparator and the reference voltage coupled to the first duplicate comparator, comparing the output of the first comparator with the output of the first duplicate comparator, and determining activation or deactivation of a surgical instrument coupled to the controller based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 11950860
Abstract: Several mitigation circuits are disclosed. An audio mitigation circuit includes an audio mitigation control module configured to read a unique tone identification embedded in a digital audio signal to identify a digital audio tone. A video mitigation circuit confirms video to be displayed by a user interface. Another audio mitigation circuit is configured to process super-audible tones in an audio signal to confirm an audio asset. The disclosure also describes various methods associated with the mitigation circuits.

  • Patent number: 11925373
Abstract: A surgical suturing system is disclosed. The surgical suturing system comprises a shaft comprising a shaft diameter, a firing drive, and an end effector extending distally from the shaft. The end effector comprises a needle track and a needle comprising suturing material attached thereto, wherein the needle is configured to be guided by the needle track and actuated by the firing drive through a firing stroke, and wherein the needle is movable along a needle path comprising a maximum capture width which is greater than the shaft diameter.

  • Patent number: 11918269
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are presented for systems and methods for identifying characteristics of a return pad in a monopolar electrosurgical system using contact quality monitoring (CQM) and near field communication (NFC) signals. In some aspects, resistance or impedance materials are sensed that may help identify what kind of return pad is being used, including what is the structure of the pad. In some aspects, NFC signals are used to identify characteristics of the return pad. In some aspects, the grounding or return pad may include two separate materials that form an interconnecting or interwoven mesh and both act as non-active electrodes when both contact the patient. A non-zero impedance may separate conductive lines connecting the two separate materials that may be analyzed to obtain a defining signature about that is linked to structural characteristics about the return pad.

  • Patent number: 10994564
Abstract: A layline labeling process includes providing a layline material including a carrier film and a plurality of ink regions applied to the carrier film; applying a laser to laser-treat the ink side of the layline material to remove a first portion of ink to form a pattern of labeling; applying the laser treated layline material to a product with the ink side against the product; curing the product; and removing the carrier film after curing, wherein a second portion of ink of the ink regions of the laser treated layline material not removed by the laser treatment remains bonded to an outer layer of the product. Because of the laser treatment to form the pattern of labeling where the ink has been removed from the carrier film, the labeling is visible by the contrast of the outer layer of the product where the ink was burned away, against the remaining ink that has bonded to such outer product layer during curing.

  • Publication number: 20200256490
Abstract: A hose fitting (10) includes a nipple (12) with a first end that is insertable into a hose and a second opposite end (22), nipple mating threads (38) located between the first (18) and second ends (22), and a shoulder (42) located between the mating threads and the second end (22) and that projects radially outward relative to the nipple (12) mating threads. A nut (16) is positioned over the second end (22) of the nipple (12). A shell (14) is positioned over the first end of the nipple (12) and includes shell mating threads (48), wherein the shell is threaded onto the nipple (12) by a threaded connection of the nipple mating threads (38) and the shell mating threads (48). The shoulder (42) operates to prevent further rotation of the shell (14), and the resulting torque locks the shell (14) in place and provides a seal against leakage from the fitting assembly.
