    Abstract: Apparatus 1 for monitoring flow of fluid, such as domestic water, along a conduit 2 comprising a piston and cylinder arrangement 3 having a plurality of free pistons 4 and 5, and port means 6 which are so arranged with respect to the pistons 4 and 5 that an inlet port is always open during strokes of each piston 4 or 5 so that fluid flow is continuous along the conduit 2.
