Publication number: 20250021810Abstract: Disclosed is an approach to model selection including receiving a splitting function, a stopping criterion, at least one attribute selection, and a target variable. A decision tree may be generated, including processing a training data set to create a node that splits the training data set on an attribute from the at least one selected attribute, splitting the node according to the splitting function, and repeating the generation until the stopping criterion is met. A plurality of models may be processed through the generated decision tree, and a determination regarding the target variable made for each model. A subset of models may be selected based on the determination of the target variable, and a category parameter and a designation of at least one model may be received. Documents associated with the designated models may be retrieved and analyzed via NLP and ranked based on the NLP and the category parameter.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 6, 2021Publication date: January 16, 2025Inventors: Qun Luo, Andrew Mack

Publication number: 20240386738Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer readable media for natural language processing and text analytics of audit documentation for prioritization and selection. Text extraction and conversion techniques can analyze documents corresponding to an audit request to generate a dataset. A two-layer model can produce word embeddings to reconstruct linguistic contexts of words in the dataset. An embedding layer can map each word, and a classifier layer can generate a similarity score for each word. A three-layer model can determine weights of documents in the dataset. A ranking layer can obtain a document rank value for each document. An initial layer and successive layers can receive feature vectors and document rank values to assign weights to the documents. Based on the document weights and the audit request, the natural language processing and text analytics can determine an audit likelihood for each document to prioritize and select subsets of the documents.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 29, 2024Publication date: November 21, 2024Applicant: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.Inventors: Qun Luo, Andrew Mack

Patent number: 9889795Abstract: A system is provided having a controller for controlling operation of warning devices mounted on a vehicle for providing warning signals directed external of the vehicle. The controller receives one or more vehicle event signals, each indicative of occurrence of a different vehicle event. The controller responsive to receiving each vehicle event signal overrides operation of one or more of the warning devices from a normal operating mode into an override operating mode in accordance with the vehicle event associated with the vehicle event signal being received. In an override operating mode, warning device(s) may provide visual signals to supplement pre-existing vehicular light indicators of vehicle events, while other warning device(s) may be disabled to avoid confusion with such vehicular light indicators. To facilitate ease of connection, each warning device couples to the controller at an output port for receiving power and ground, and control signals from the controller.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2015Date of Patent: February 13, 2018Assignee: STAR HEADLIGHT & LANTERN CO., INC.Inventors: James J. Patent number: 9291328Abstract: An interior lens is provided for a light bar mountable onto the roof of a vehicle. The interior lens has a plurality of fluted lenses or lens segments forming a ribbon shaped to receive illumination prior to exiting the light bar outer dome. The fluted lenses extend vertically parallel to each other and are each shaped to increase the horizontal viewing angle of light from the light bar. The ribbon of fluted lenses may continuously extend within the light bar around the optical assembly to improve performance of light projected from different sides of the light bar, thereby providing an improved optical assembly for a light bar.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2013Date of Patent: March 22, 2016Assignee: Star Headlight & Lantern Co., Inc.Inventors: Tracy L. Patent number: 8840268Abstract: An LED beacon has a plurality of LEDs for emitting light of the same or different colors mounting along an upright member within an optical system. To provide a beacon illuminating selectively in one or more colors, the plurality of LEDs are in different groups of two or more LEDs, at least one LED in each group being of a different color. Each group of LEDs are mounted together circumferentially spaced from each other around a central axis. Each of the LEDs when activated projects light there from through the optical system provided by a collimating lens and a condensing, coupling lens. The optical system provides enhanced illumination distributed in a cylindrical beam emanating from the collimating lens. By selectively activating LEDs of the same colors or different color at different times different sequences or patterns may be generated.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2012Date of Patent: September 23, 2014Assignee: Star Headlight & Lantern Co., Inc.Inventors: R.
