    Abstract: A system and method for providing universal mobile device access to information without requiring separate applications for each requesting mobile device. Generally, the system comprises an enterprise backend having the requested information stored therein. The system also comprises a universal server connected to the enterprise backend for receiving a request for the information from the mobile device, and for providing the mobile device with the information from the enterprise backend. The universal server does not require separate software applications to customize display of the information for each different category of mobile device requesting information.

    Abstract: A system and method for formatting information requested by a mobile communication device for display on the mobile communication device. A category of the requesting mobile communication device is first determined. The requested information is then formatted in accordance with at least one mobile application markup language category file that is specific to the category of the mobile communication device, wherein the mobile application markup language category file is utilized to convert the received information into a mobile application markup language device file that may be displayed by mobile communication devices that are the same category as the determined category of the requesting mobile communication device.
