  • Patent number: 10968088
Abstract: The shingle installation jack devices may be mounted once at a first roof level, providing support for the walk board. When installation or repair of the shingles is complete at the first level of the roof, the shingle installation jack devices may be operated in tandem to raise the level of the walk board to a second level of the roof. Shingle installation and/or repair may then be carried out at this second roof level without the need to re-mount the walk board supports at the second level. The shingle installation jack devices may also be run in reverse to lower the walk boards. The shingle installation device includes a frame and utilizes a winch motor to adjust the effective length of a cable and thus adjustably raise or lower the walk boards to any desired roof level.

  • Publication number: 20110081627
Abstract: The invention provides methods of making provisional and long-term dental restorations, particularly dental veneers, crowns and bridges. In one embodiment, the restoration can be fabricated indirectly by a dental laboratory. In another version, a dental practitioner can make the restoration chairside for a patient in a dental office. A polymerizable dental composite material, which is dimensionally shape-stable in its uncured state, is used to make the restoration. A substructure such as a metal coping can be used to support the polymerizable material. The material includes a polymerizable acrylic compound, polymerization initiator system capable of being activated by light or heat, and preferably a filler material. The resulting dental restoration has good aesthetics, mechanical strength, and margins and contacts.

  • Publication number: 20090130624
Abstract: Dental guards, particularly night guards, used by patients to protect their teeth against the effects of grinding and bruxism are provided. Methods and kits for making such dental guards are also included. A light-curable polymerizable arch material is used to fabricate the dental guard. Preferably, the material contains polymerizable acrylic compounds, color-changing cure indicator, and particulate filler. The material is molded to conform to the shape of a dental arch of a patient and light-cured to form the dental guard.

  • Publication number: 20080230167
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward an adhesive for and a method for bonding artificial plastic teeth to a denture base. The adhesive employs a number of adhesion promoter monomers, dimers or oligomers and a cure package, as well as methyl acetate as a solvent. The method according to the invention includes exposing a plastic tooth to the adhesive and allowing the plastic to soften (not dissolve). The adhesion promoter chains infiltrate the plastic tooth matrix, such that upon curing a secure bond is formed.
