  • Patent number: 11118752
Abstract: A flexible cover for a linear lighting channel is described, as are enclosures and luminaires using this kind of flexible cover. The flexible cover has sufficient flexibility to be bent or coiled to a bend radius of 6 inches (15.2 cm) or smaller, and can thus be coiled for shipping and uncoiled for installation. Typically, the cover is made of a polymer that is at least translucent. Covers may be made in various shapes, including lens and prism shapes, and channels may be made with sidewalls that make complementary shapes in order to engage with and retain the covers.

  • Publication number: 20190368683
Abstract: Linear LED lighting is disclosed. The linear LED lighting includes a flexible PCB on which a number of LED light engines are disposed, typically at a regular pitch. The PCB is surrounded by a flexible, translucent covering, which may be a plastic, such as poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC). The coating may include an additive that diffuses the light, or have a coating with that additive that does so. Exemplary additives include beads, microspheres, fibers, or other particles of glass and silica, as well as plastics like poly(methyl methacrylate), polycarbonate, and poly(ethylene terephthalate).

  • Publication number: 20190049077
Abstract: A flexible power conductor strip is disclosed. The power conductor strip comprises an elongate, flexible printed circuit board that carries a pair of conductors. Connectors are mounted on the power conductor strip at a regular pitch or spacing and are electrically connected to the pair of conductors. The flexible printed circuit board is arranged such that it can be physically cut into independent functional units, each of the independent functional units including some connectors.
