  • Publication number: 20240131408
Abstract: A kick ball game is described in which a number of balls are kicked from a prescribed distance toward a number of dimensioned holes/target areas in a horizontal box positioned between upright side supports members which are retained in perpendicular angularity to the overlying and underlying support surface members. Each of the dimensioned holes/target areas in the horizontal box are set in a vertical direction along the side supports member and secured in the desired position inside the horizontal box[es]. In this fashion the distance between the dimensioned holes/target areas are fixed and cannot be altered. Alternative embodiments of the game are also contemplated where the distance between the horizontal box[es] is varied to increase or decrease the level of difficulty.

  • Patent number: 11442729
Abstract: A method and system for processing a bit-packed array using one or more processors, including determining a data element size of the bit-packed array, determining a lane configuration of a single-instruction multiple-data (SIMD) unit for processing the bit-packed array based at least in part on the determined data element size, the lane configuration being determined from among a plurality of candidate lane configurations, each candidate lane configuration having a different number of vector register lanes and a corresponding bit capacity per vector register lane, configuring the SIMD unit according to the determined lane configuration, and loading one or more data elements into each vector register lane of the SIMD unit. SIMD instructions may be executed on the loaded one or more data elements of each vector register lane in parallel, and a result of the SIMD instruction may be stored in memory.

  • Publication number: 20220065726
Abstract: A pipeline apparatus comprising a pipe body. The pipe body includes an annular cavity between annular innermost and outermost fluid impermeable barrier layers. The pipe body further includes a plurality of armour wires which extend along at least part of the length of the pipe body in the annular cavity. The plurality of armour wires include a first armour wire which is electrically isolated from the other armour wires along at least part of the length of the armour wires. The pipe body also includes a measurement device which is arranged to electrically couple to the first armour wire at a first end of the pipe body. The measurement device is arranged to measure the electrical impedance of the first armour wire, wherein variation of the electrical impedance of the first armour wire is indicative of a defect of the first armour wire.

  • Patent number: 7674294
Abstract: An end device attached to an implant and methods of use. The end device comprises a base having a receiving area, an opening, and at least one gate that is selectively positionable between open and closed orientations. The implant is sized to fit through the opening and into the receiving area when the gate is in the open orientation. Once inserted, the gate is sized to extend across at least a section of the opening and prevent the implant from escaping.
