  • Publication number: 20240095612
Abstract: The invention provides a computer-implemented method for determining predicted power generation of a renewable energy installation. The method includes receiving current power generation data indicative of a current power generation value for each of one or more neighbouring renewable energy installations, and determining, based on the received current power generation data, a current data map indicative of current power generation values across an area including the renewable energy installation and the one or more neighbouring renewable energy installations. The method includes retrieving a previous data map indicative of power generation values across the area at a previous time, and determining, based on the previous and current data maps, a future data map indicative of power generation values across the area at a future time, determining a predicted power generation value of the renewable energy installation at the future time based on the determined future data map.

  • Publication number: 20210125197
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and systems for managing energy costs. A method for managing energy costs comprises: obtaining input data related to a property and one or more appliances associated with the property; predicting, based on the input data, energy consumption of the property over a time period; determining a set of candidate energy tariffs applicable to the property based on published utility data and the input data; determining energy costs of the property over the time period for each energy tariff; and identifying and outputting one or more energy tariffs in the set of candidate energy tariffs that reduce or minimize energy costs of the property over the time. The method may also include switching to the recommended tariff and adjusting the operation of the appliance(s) to minimize energy costs. The energy consumption of the property may comprise forecasted energy profile of one or more new appliances.

  • Patent number: 9621602
Abstract: Physical social actions are conveniently detected, characterized, and provided to a social networking system. This improves the user experience of the social networking system by more thoroughly recording the social actions of users occurring outside a social graph. This has the effect of extending an open social graph, which typically refers to social actions taken outside the social networking system but within a computer network, to physical social actions. By providing characterized physical social actions to the social networking system, the open social graph is extended to include physical social actions.
