  • Patent number: 12138364
Abstract: Provided herein are scaffold biomaterials comprising a decellularised fungal tissue from which cellular materials and nucleic acids of the tissue are removed, the decellularised fungal tissue comprising a cellulose- or chitin-based 3-dimensional porous structure. Methods for preparing such scaffold biomaterials, as well as uses thereof as an implantable scaffold for supporting animal cell growth, for promoting tissue regeneration, for promoting angiogenesis, for a tissue replacement procedure, and/or as a structural implant for cosmetic surgery are also provided. Therapeutic treatment and/or cosmetic methods employing such scaffolds are additionally described.

  • Patent number: 12036664
Abstract: An end effector is disclosed that is configured for connection to a robotic unit used to manipulate a door of a vehicle (e.g., during vehicle painting). The end effector includes a base plate; a sensor that is supported by the base plate; and a piston that is configured for engagement with the door. The piston is operatively connected to an interrupter such that movement (displacement) of the piston causes corresponding movement (displacement) of the interrupter between a first position, in which the interrupter is positioned in alignment with a signal transmitted across the sensor to interfere with the signal and thereby interrupt circuit completion, and a second position, in which the interrupter is out of alignment with the signal transmitted across the sensor to permit circuit completion and thereby inform the robotic unit that the door is present and engaged with the end effector.

  • Publication number: 20070265957
Abstract: A computer method for automating person-to-person lending comprises receiving from a user over a computer network at least one custom periodic payment amount for a loan period of a person-to-person loan; generating a custom loan schedule based on the custom amount; and transmitting the custom loan schedule over the computer network to the user. A further method comprises receiving from a first user over a computer network a request to modify at least one specific periodic payment amount for a loan period of a pre-existing person-to-person loan; receiving from a second user a consent to the first user's request; and generating a revised loan schedule for the loan based on the request to modify the payment amount. Another method comprises retrieving from a database loan history data for a person-to-person loan; and transmitting the loan history data to a credit reporting agency over a computer network.

  • Patent number: 7165619
Abstract: The subsea intervention system (SIM) includes a BOP module 10 and CT module 20. A tool positioning system 76 is used for positioning a selected subsea tool 22 stored within a rack 18 with a tool axis in line with the BOP axis, while a marinized coiled string injector 80 is moved by positioning system 81 to an inactive position. Power to the subsea electric motors 162 is supplied by an electrical line umbilical extending from the surface for powering the pumps 164, with the hydraulic system controlled by power control unit 198. The injector 80 preferably includes a pressure compensator roller bearing 220 and a pressure compensated drive system case 254.
