Patent number: 11963691Abstract: A surgical instrument, has an end effector that includes an ultrasonic blade, and a clamp arm that moves relative to the ultrasonic blade from an opened position toward an intermediate position and a closed position. The clamp arm is offset from the ultrasonic blade to define a predetermined gap in the intermediate position between the opened position and the closed position. A clamp arm actuator connects to the clamp arm and moves from an opened configuration to a closed configuration to direct the clamp arm from the opened position toward the intermediate position and the closed position. A spacer connects with the clamp arm to inhibit movement of the clamp arm from the intermediate position toward the closed position for maintaining the predetermined gap between the clamp arm and the ultrasonic blade.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2020Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Cilag GmbH InternationalInventors: Ryan M. Patent number: 11667422Abstract: A machine for applying spouts to containers includes a heating tunnel for heating spouts, and a conveyor for conveying spouts through the heating tunnel for heating. The conveyor is a loop conveyor including a plurality of spout holding rack assemblies mounted thereon, wherein the loop conveyor defines a conveyor path from a spout loading zone, through the heating tunnel and then back to the spout loading zone. The machine includes (i) multi-material warp resistant rack holding assemblies, and/or (ii) a spout infeed track at a spout infeed side of the conveyor that includes an adjustment assembly for permitting adjustment of a number of spouts fed from the spout infeed track into an aligned spout holding rack assembly, and/or (iii) a spout emptying passage at a spout outfeed side of the conveyor, and/or (iv) a controller configured to track the position of each spout holding rack assembly along the conveyor path.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2020Date of Patent: June 6, 2023Assignee: ZALKIN AMERICAS LLCInventors: Andrew Monroe, Benoist Lainé, Julien Chevalier, Quentin Marie, Simon Guerrier

Patent number: 10811794Abstract: A card edge connector includes a housing having a mounting end mounted to a host circuit board and a mating end having a card slot receiving a circuit card. Upper and lower contacts are received in upper and lower contact channels of the housing. The upper and lower contacts include corresponding mounting ends and mating ends with the mounting ends mounted to the host circuit board and the mating ends having first and second mating interfaces defining first and second points of contact with the same contact pad of the circuit card.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2018Date of Patent: October 20, 2020Assignee: TE CONNECTIVITY CORPORATIONInventors: Kyle Gary Annis, Kevin Michael Thackston, Andrew Monroe Martin

Patent number: 10637182Abstract: A circular plug connector includes an outer coupling ring, a plug shell and a self-supporting compression element between the outer coupling ring and the plug shell. The plug shell houses plug contacts. The plug shell includes a mid-body having a rear facing support surface. The self-supporting compression element surrounds the plug shell and includes a spring element engaging the rear facing support surface. The self-supporting compression element includes a retaining shim support integral with the spring element as a unitary, monolithic body that is received in the retaining element to fix the self-supporting compression element relative to the outer coupling ring. The spring element is compressible relative to the retaining shim support to allow the plug shell to move axially within the cavity of the outer coupling ring.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2019Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignee: TE CONNECTIVITY CORPORATIONInventors: Andrew Monroe Martin, Kevin Michael Thackston, Samantha Kay Heisey

Patent number: 7373361Abstract: Remote devices communicate with a central server in order to provide event tracking information pertaining to a business process, which is conducted by persons performing multiple roles. Software, including a state machine, is downloaded onto the device. A first state table is also downloaded and applied to the state machine in order to configure the device to operate in accordance with a first role. While the device is configured to operate in accordance with the first role, field data is captured and processed with the state machine in accordance with the first state table to generate event tracking information, which is transmitted to the server. Then, a second state table is applied to the state machine previously downloaded in order to reconfigure the device to operate in accordance with a second role. The device is reconfigured from the first role to the second role without changing the state machine on the device.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2005Date of Patent: May 13, 2008Assignee: AirClic, Inc.Inventors: Andrew Monroe, Andrew Leamon
