  • Publication number: 20240219027
Abstract: Additively manufactured thrust chambers and thrust chambers with integral fluid manifolds, and hybrid additive manufacturing methods for their production, are provided. Hybrid additive manufacturing techniques may combine a variety of processes including, WAAM, PBF, cold spray and DED, for example, to produce objects with variant dimensional requirements, i.e., large overall size and small features. Hybrid additive manufacturing may be defined as provide various process layers within any manufactured object. These process layers in turn allow for the introduction of variable feature and size distribution throughout the manufactured object. Hybrid process layers according to aspects may also allow the use of a variety of materials or may use a single material across the various process layers.

  • Publication number: 20240011469
Abstract: A system and method for generating one or more electrostatic pressure forces or one or more divergence in electric field forces, or both, acting on at least one surface of an object. Asymmetries in the resulting force vectors result in a net resulting force acting on the object. The magnitude of the net resulting force may be a function of the geometry of the object surfaces, the amount of electric charge present on the surfaces, and the dielectric constant(s) of materials present in a gap between the object surfaces. The invention may be produced on a nanoscale using nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes. The invention may be utilized to provide a motivating force to an object. A non-limiting exemplary use case example is the use of electrostatic pressure force apparatus as a propellantless thruster to propel a spacecraft through a vacuum.

  • Patent number: 11852503
Abstract: A spirit level is provided that incorporates an illuminated optical indicator of the level orientation. The spirit level housing is at least partially translucent. At least one light-emitting diode (LED) is disposed within the housing for illuminating the translucent portions of the housing. Vertical, horizontal and angular orientation indication assemblies are provided including a tubular curved glass vial having a constant inner diameter at a viewing point and having a slight upward curve and incompletely filled with a liquid to create a bubble. An angle sensing circuit electrically connected to a battery controls the LED's to illuminate in a first color in a vertical orientation and in a second color in a horizontal orientation. Gradual changing of the color and/or the intensity of the light occurs during transition of the orientation between the vertical orientation and the horizontal orientation.

  • Patent number: 11775684
Abstract: A rule-based attribution mechanism analyzes documents having different types of data in different formats through the application of script-based rules that apply a tag to the document identifying the type of sensitive data that is contained in the document. Documents having similar tags are aggregated so that the sensitive data is scrubbed from the document leaving the telemetric data available for downstream processing. The scrubbing entails different actions, such as, eliminating the sensitive data, obfuscating the sensitive data, and converting the sensitive data into a non-sensitive value.
