  • Publication number: 20250245279
Abstract: Techniques for a social networking system involve analyzing members' interactions to enhance follow recommendations. The techniques include calculating the number of follows generated by a first member and the number of follows received by a second and third member. The platform then computes a weighted follow utility score for two member pairs: the first comprising the first and second members, and the second comprising the first and third members. These scores are determined by equally weighing the follows generated and received, along with a probability of the first member following the second or third member. While the probability suggests a preference for the second member, the ranking system places the third member pair higher. Consequently, the first member is advised to follow the third member, based on this ranking. Finally, this recommendation is displayed to the first member on an electronic device, guiding their social interactions on the platform.

  • Patent number: 12253041
Abstract: Operating an engine system includes cold starting an engine, closing spill valves to pressurize fuel in a plurality of plunger cavities, opening injection valves in some of a plurality of fuel injectors to inject fuel into firing cylinders in an engine cycle, and opening spill valves in some of the plurality of fuel injectors while injection valves therein remain closed to bleed fuel to a lower pressure space in the engine cycle. The pressurization of fuel in the fuel injectors remaining closed parasitically loads the engine to increase a fuel burned amount hastening warm up and limiting misfire. Related apparatus and control logic is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20250020095
Abstract: Operating a fuel injector in a fuel system for an engine includes energizing a first solenoid actuator to move a spill valve from a first position to a second, closed position, and energizing a second solenoid actuator to move a fuel injection valve in the fuel injector from a closed position to an open position. A pull-in tier of a waveform energizing the second solenoid actuator is generated via a first current produced by a boosted voltage power supply and a second current produced by a lower voltage power supply. Arrival timing of the valve at the open position is detected based on a property of the second current, such that a valve arrival timing error may be used to trim the fuel injector. Related methodology and control logic is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240362648
Abstract: In one embodiment, a predictive contextual transaction scoring system receives transaction review data associated with person-to-person transactions from a marketplace, the transaction review data including feedback information relating to the person-to-person transaction. The system identifies contextual characteristics of the person-to-person transactions by analyzing the feedback information related to the person-to-person transactions. The system pairs a first party requesting a service to a second party providing the requested service by matching a contextual characteristic of the first party to a contextual characteristic of the second party. The system also predicts a transaction score for a new person-to-person transaction involving the first party and the second party, and provides the predicted transaction score to the marketplace to facilitate pairing of the first party requesting the service.
