Abstract: A safety razor adapted to deliver a non-solid shaving aid material during normal use includes a handle, a razor cartridge and a reservoir for the shaving aid material in fluid communication with an applicator of the razor cartridge. A linkage extends from the reservoir to the razor cartridge. Pivotal movement of the razor cartridge away from its at-rest position causes the linkage to move relative to both the razor cartridge and the reservoir and in particular away from the reservoir. A plug of the linkage is removed from a vent aperture of the reservoir providing pressure relief for any partial vacuum caused from dispensing a portion of the shaving aid material. In the at-rest position the plug seals the vent and helps alleviate unwanted drooling of the shaving aid material when the safety razor is not in use.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a shaving implement that includes at least a razor cartridge and a mechanism. The razor cartridge includes at least one blade that has a sharpened cutting edge and defines a blade plane. The mechanism is disposed in the shaving plane and moves the blade in the blade plane during shaving. The mechanism may be either a vibration mechanism (i.e., a motorized spinning eccentric weight), or a dithering mechanism (i.e., a piezoelectric element). The cut force required to shave, when the blades are moving in the blade plane, is significantly reduced.

Abstract: A shaving device is provided that includes a handle, a razor cartridge, and a powered trimmer. The handle includes a first end, a second end, and a grip portion. The grip portion has a motor included at least partially therein. The razor cartridge is attached to the first end of the handle. The powered trimmer head is located at the second end of the handle and is selectively activated by the user. When activated, the powered trimmer is powered by the motor in the grip portion of the handle and is operable to trim hair.

Abstract: A multi-use shaving implement includes an elongated handle and swappable razor cartridge and trimmer head. The elongated handle has a powered motor that is at least partially located therein. The razor cartridge has at least one elongated blade with a sharpened cutting edge and is removably attachable to the handle. The trimmer head has at least one stationary blade, one movable blade and is also removably attachable to the handle when the razor cartridge is not attached to the handle. The trimmer head also includes a prong that extends therefrom. During use of the trimmer, the motor (when activated) is in contact with the prong such that the motor reciprocally moves the prong and, accordingly, the movable blade relative to the stationary blade, thus enabling the user to trim hair.

Abstract: A shaving aid material pump of a shaving apparatus, includes a reciprocating mechanism selectively operable to transfer shaving aid material from a reservoir to a port for dispensing to a surface being shaved. The reciprocating mechanism includes a biasing mechanism, wherein the shaving apparatus includes one or more razor blades. The reciprocating mechanism is attached to the one or more razor blades, and wherein a reciprocating motion of the one or more razor blades in a shaving action operates the reciprocating mechanism to dispense the shaving aid material.

Abstract: An integrated wet shaving and precision trimming implement includes a handle; a razor cartridge attached thereto; and a trimming tool removably located in the handle. The trimming tool is configured for trimming hair at an edge of a hirsute area. A trimming implement for use during a shaving operation is insertable into a chamber defined by a razor handle and includes a shaft; a blade attached to the shaft; a comb attached over the blade; and a cap attached to an end of the shaft. The cap is receivable on the razor handle to retain the trimming implement in the chamber defined by the razor handle. A trimmer integrated with a handle of a shaving implement includes a reciprocatingly mounted blade and a comb mounted over the blade. The blade is capable of operating in a reciprocating motion via any suitable power source.

Abstract: In a razor cartridge, a platform portion has a first cartridge section that includes at least one first pair of razor blades position therein. Each of the first pair or razor blades has an at least partially exposed cutting edge. A second cartridge section is also provided and is coupled to the platform portion. The second cartridge section includes at least one pair of second razor blades positioned therein, each of the second pair of razor blades also has an at least partially exposed cutting edge. The razor cartridge can be mounted either temporarily or permanently to a handle and the cutting edges of each of the first and second pair of razor blades face one another so that during a shaving operation, the razor cartridge can cut hair when drawn over a user's skin in either of two generally opposite directions.

The cartridge-connecting member of the connecting pod is operable to connect to a selectively detachable razor cartridge.

The shaving preparation cake is selectively detachable from the razor assembly to facilitate use of the razor assembly in dry shaving environment applications.
