  • Patent number: 11129262
Abstract: A load control system controls an electrical load provided in a space and comprises a load control device and one or more occupancy sensors. The load control device controls the load in response to the wireless control signals received from the occupancy sensors. Each occupancy sensor transmits an occupied control signal to the load control device in response to detecting an occupancy condition in the space and a vacant control signal to the load control device in response to detecting a vacancy condition. The load control device turns on the load in response to receiving the occupied control signal from at least one of the occupancy sensors, and turns off the load in response to receiving vacant control signals from both of the occupancy sensors. The load control device is operable to determine that no wireless control signals have been received from the occupancy sensors for the length of a predetermined timeout period and to subsequently turn off the load.

  • Publication number: 20210233548
Abstract: The processing of audio signals during playback is provided, so that audio signals that fall below a specified threshold loudness level are processed to avoid making unwanted background noise audible. N-channel audio is received from a playback volume controller/leveler (101). The level of the audio is compared with a threshold level. If the level is greater than the threshold level, the audio is processed with a first amount of gain in accordance with a first dynamic range control (DRC) compression curve that is tuned for professionally produced audio. If the level is less than or equal to the threshold level, the audio is processed with a second amount of gain in accordance with a second DRC compression curve that is designed to avoid boosting unwanted background noise. After applying the gain to the audio, the audio is sent to a downstream device.

  • Patent number: 11017605
Abstract: A method of generating a digital island is disclosed. A base shape of a digital island virtual object is created with respect to a local coordinate system of a digital island. Conditions are associated with the digital island. The conditions include criteria for properties of objects within an environment. Additional virtual objects are associated with the digital island. Data describing the environment is received. The data is analyzed to determine one or more parts of the environment that match the conditions. Based on the matching of conditions, a display of the digital island is positioned, scaled, and oriented in a mixed reality display device contemporaneously with a view of the environment. The digital island with is aligned with at least one part of the one or more parts based on the conditions and a movement of one or more sensors and the mixed reality display device.
