  • Patent number: 11843254
Abstract: Gaps between transmitters and receivers in wireless power systems and related systems, methods, and devices are disclosed. A housing includes an internal surface configured to face a receive power coil and an external surface configured to face a wireless power transmitter. The external surface is shaped to define one or more gaps between the external surface and a surface of the wireless power transmitter responsive to placement of the external surface into engagement with the surface of the wireless power transmitter. An electronic device includes a receive power coil and a barrier including an internal surface facing the receive power coil and an external surface configured to face a transmit power coil. • Patent number: 11000908
Abstract: Electrodes for and methods of electrical discharge machining are provided. For example, a method for forming a feature in a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) component comprises repeatedly advancing an electrode into and retracting the electrode from the CMC component until a desired depth is reached, where the electrode has a head end, a tip end, and a shaft extending from the head end to the tip end. The shaft has a first side and a second side each recessed inward such that the head end and the tip end are wider than the shaft. A method for forming a feature in a CMC component also may include feeding a dielectric fluid into the feature utilizing the recessed sides. In some embodiments, electrodes may include a shaft extending from a head end to a tip end and a central plane, where the shaft is recessed widthwise toward the central plane.

  • Patent number: 10622646
Abstract: A fuel cell system is disclosed, which includes an anode recirculation loop including a fuel cell stack for generating power, a fuel supply device for providing a fuel to the anode recirculation loop, an air supply device for providing air to a cathode of the fuel cell stack, a voltage monitoring device for monitoring a voltage of the fuel cell stack, and an anode protection controller. The anode protection controller decreases a current drawn from the fuel cell stack by a predetermined amount whenever the voltage of the fuel cell stack drops below a predetermined voltage threshold and decreases a fuel flowrate provided to the anode recirculation loop based on the decreased current, so as to maintain a steam to carbon ratio in the anode recirculation loop above a predetermined steam to carbon ratio limit. A shutdown method for the fuel cell system are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9480675
Abstract: Systems and methods are described providing therapeutic preparations of sirtuin inhibitors, such as SIRT1 inhibitors, for stimulating load-induced skeletal muscle growth in the body of a patient. The natural stimulation of SIRT1 activity can be suppressed through increased caloric intake and loading in conjunction with the inhibition of sirtuin activity to improve the inhibitory effect. In addition, known muscle growth promoting agents such as amino acids and hormones can be administered at the same time as the sirtuin inhibitor. The size of the tissue structure to be treated or the body size may be used to determine the therapeutic dose of sirtuin inhibitor. The sirtuin inhibitor and muscle stimulating agents are either locally or systemically delivered at therapeutic doses for the desired effect. The SIRT1 inhibitor Splitomycin is particularly effective.

The structural arrangement comprises a housing and at least one load maneuvering device. The housing comprises a floor member, a ceiling member, and two pairs of opposite side walls for configuring an interior area. The floor member comprises at least one closeable opening for providing accessibility to the interior area. The housing is disposed over at least one pair of train tracks, such that, the housing is placed directly above the container freight train. The at least one load maneuvering device receives the at least one container from the container freight train into the interior area, and disposes the empty container from the interior area to the container freight train.
