  • Publication number: 20250244269
Abstract: There is described a method of testing a topical composition, wherein the method comprises: providing an ex vivo tissue comprising a skin tissue layer and a muscle tissue layer, wherein at least one temperature probe is positioned on the surface of the skin tissue layer; adjusting the temperature of the ex vivo tissue such that the temperature at the surface of the skin tissue layer is 32-37° C.; applying the topical composition to the surface of the skin tissue layer, wherein the topical composition effects a decrease in temperature at the surface of the skin tissue layer; measuring the decrease in temperature at the surface of the skin tissue layer over time effected by the topical composition using the at least one temperature probe; and measuring a subsequent increase in temperature at the surface of the skin tissue layer over time using the at least one temperature probe.

  • Patent number: 7406189
Abstract: A device for inspecting microscopic objects. A plurality of LEDS is arranged in an array underneath a lens. Some of the LEDS are lighted and some of the LEDS are unlighted. A computer is in control of the LED array. The computer turns on selected LEDS from the array to form the lighted LEDS. Also, the computer turns off selected LEDS from the array to form the unlighted LEDS. The lighted LEDS form a pattern of lighted LEDS underneath the lens. In a preferred embodiment, the lens is connected to a computer controlled camera and the microscopic objects are microscopic crystals.
