Abstract: Disclosed herein are organic photosensitive devices including at least one exciton-blocking charge carrier filter. The filters comprise a mixture of at least one wide energy gap material and at least one electron or hole conducting material. As described herein, the novel filters simultaneously block excitons and conduct the desired charge carrier (electrons or holes).

Abstract: A board game is provided comprising a game board and a plurality of game pieces positionable on the board. The game board includes a continuous game path comprising a series of spaces along which the game pieces may be moved. At various positions along the game path are provided one or more chambers within which the game pieces may be moved. The game pieces include at least one player game piece and at least one non-player token game piece positionable upon the game path, wherein the token game piece moves independently of the players and the player game pieces and may influence the position of the player game piece on the game board. A timing mechanism is included to provide a deadline within which the players must achieve a common goal, which timing mechanism may be integrated within a lockable safe mechanism that cannot be opened until a certain number of “keys” are inserted into slots provided within the mechanism thereby signaling the completion of the goal.

The activity cards are individually dispensed from a dispenser assembly (25). Each activity card includes a set of instructions (138) instructing the player to carry out a game activity. The activity card also includes a uniform resource locator address and instructions (140) for the user to access an interactive computer network to obtain further information and data to enable the user to complete the activity.

Abstract: A game device includes a plurality of user-selectable cells extending between start and finish areas, where each of the cells is associated with a character performing an answer to a question or clue that may be provided in the form of a category. One or more participants move from the start to the finish area by selecting cells whose characters when taken in order form a valid answer. A number of valid answers or paths between the start and finish areas can exist. The participant is scored at least in part based on the characters forming the valid answer.

Abstract: An interactive multimedia game conducted by a live human host is described. The game is played in rounds. In each round, the game poses question to teams of players. Team players select answers to each question posed and input their answers using player terminals. There may be more than one answer to the multimedia question posed, and the team players must pick all of the answers. The multimedia questions may have hints to help the team players arrive at correct multimedia answers. The multimedia questions must be answered within a given amount of time. Once time has expired, the correct multimedia answer(s) are revealed to the team players. The game also provides feedback to the teams as to whether they have selected the correct multimedia answer(s). The game awards points to the teams, with team scores determined according to the point of value of the multimedia question. The game then poses a new question. Play continues until the last question of the last round has been posed, answered, and scored.

Abstract: An interactive, multi-media game system and method is provided. In a preferred embodiment, an audio and/or visual playback system contains portions of a prerecorded narrative stored therein. Teams of players cooperatively solve puzzles, obtain information fragments and directional clues, and ultimately solve an overall meta-puzzle that can be in the context of the narrative. The players move between the portions of the prerecorded narrative and the puzzles that are positioned at selected locations in a defined space. The players solve threshold puzzles to permit them to access, or reaccess, selected portions of the narrative on the audio and/or visual playback device. The players gather sets of information fragments to solve a global meta-puzzle.
