  • Patent number: 12042790
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for controlling the insertion of a membrane channel into a membrane are disclosed. In one arrangement a first bath holds a first liquid in contact with a first surface of a membrane. A second bath holds a second liquid in contact with a second surface of the membrane. The membrane separates the first and second liquids. A first electrode contacts the first liquid. A second electrode contacts the second liquid. A driving unit applies a potential difference across the membrane via the first and second electrodes to promote insertion of a membrane channel into the membrane from the first liquid or the second liquid. A membrane voltage reduction unit is connected in series with the membrane. The driving unit applies a driving voltage across the membrane voltage reduction unit and the membrane, the driving voltage providing the potential difference across the membrane.

  • Patent number: 12045732
Abstract: In general, embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods and computer readable media for automated dynamic data quality assessment. One aspect of the subject matter described in this specification includes the actions of receiving a data quality job including a new data sample; and, if the new data sample is determined to be added to a reservoir of data samples, sending a quality verification request to an oracle; receiving a new data sample quality estimate from the oracle; and adding the new data sample and estimate to the reservoir. A second aspect of the subject matter includes the actions of receiving, from a predictive model, a judgment associated with a new data sample; analyzing the new data sample based in part on the judgment to determine whether to send a new data sample quality verification request to an oracle; and, if a new data sample quality estimate is received from the oracle, determining whether to add the new data sample and the judgment to the reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20240129834
Abstract: A mm wave radio communication mesh network comprises a wireless node apparatus comprising a plurality of wireless modems (103) and a configuration controller (307) arranged to perform a node configuration arranged to configure the wireless modems (103) as access point wireless modems or non-access point wireless modems. The configuration controller (307) controls a set of wireless modems to scan for access point beacons and determines a first wireless modem that has detected an access point beacon from a first target access point wireless modem. It then configures the first wireless modem as a non-access point wireless modem and controls it to connect to the first target access point modem. If the connection is successful, the configuration controller (307) proceeds to configure another wireless modem as an access point wireless modem.

  • Patent number: 11961172
Abstract: A system and method for object monitoring, detection, and segmentation in electro-optical (EO) satellite imagery data comprising an image processing engine configured to prepare EO data for analysis by an inference engine which utilizes one or more trained models to perform object detection or image segmentation. The workflow begins with ingesting satellite data, followed by de-hazing to remove atmospheric interference. Image enhancement improves resolution and geo-registration ensures precise spatial alignment. The processed image is then fed into a machine learning-based object detection or image segmentation network, trained to identify specific objects of interest. This integrated approach leverages advanced technologies to extract actionable insights from satellite data, enabling efficient and precise object monitoring, detection, and segmentation.

  • Publication number: 20240081963
Abstract: The flossing device includes a head unit, a handle, and a neck that is coupled to the head unit at one end and to the handle at an opposite end. The flossing device provides a horizontal vibrational movement for flossing. The handle of the flossing device includes a drive motor and a drive mechanism that transfers drive motor rotation into a horizontal left-right displacement of the head unit to generate the horizontal vibrational movement of the floss. The horizontal vibration provides more efficient and effective flossing. The drive mechanism includes a cam and an eccentric collar that generates horizontal left-right displacement as the cam rotates. The drive mechanism also includes an elongated shaft with a head adapter to secure the neck to the head unit; a sidewall spacer surrounding a portion of the elongated shaft to limit the horizontal left-right displacement; and an eccentric collar that mates with the drive motor to generate the horizontal vibrational movement of the head unit.

  • Patent number: 11904249
Abstract: A portable, folding dog agility teeter is disclosed. The teeter has two boards which are connected by a hinge. A pair of legs are also hinged. Each board can be reversibly fixed in relation to the hinge so the longitudinal axis of each board is parallel to the other. A fulcrum is formed where the legs attach to the hinge. One of the boards is heavier than the other so the heavier board is touching the ground when no additional load is on the other board. As a dog crosses from one board to the other, the teeter moves so the lighter board touches the ground. When the dog leaves the teeter the heavier board moves to touch the ground, thereby resetting the teeter for repeated use.
