    Abstract: Based on a patient's and a caregiver's presence being detected in the same room by a locating system, the caregiver is automatically logged into a computer in the room. An initial screen that appears on a display screen of the computer is a screen that is specific for the patient that is located in the room. The initial screen comprises a patient's electronic medical record and the caregiver uses the computer to enter data or information into the electronic medical record of the patient. More broadly, a first person is logged into a computer in response to the presence of the first person and a second person being detected at the same location by a locating system.

The application server stores application software associated with each patient care device.
