  • Patent number: 12138380
Abstract: New and useful systems, apparatuses, and methods for providing negative-pressure therapy with instillation of topical treatment solutions are described. An apparatus may comprise an exudate container, a solution source, and a pneumatically-actuated instillation regulator. The instillation regulator may be coupled to the exudate container and to the solution source, and negative pressure from a negative-pressure source can actuate the instillation regulator. In some embodiments, a negative-pressure source may be configured for a negative-pressure interval and a venting interval, and the instillation regulator can be configured to draw instillation solution from the solution source during a negative-pressure interval and to instill the solution to a dressing during a venting interval.

  • Publication number: 20240238504
Abstract: A negative-pressure therapy device includes a formed front layer, a pump, a pressure transducer, a formed rear layer, an exhaust port, a negative-pressure port, and an atmospheric pressure measurement port. The pump has a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The pressure transducer is fluidly coupled to the ambient environment and the pump. The formed rear layer is configured to be coupled to the formed front layer to form an interior space having the pressure transducer and the pump disposed therein. The exhaust port is fluidly coupled to the fluid outlet of the pump. The negative-pressure port is fluidly coupled to the fluid inlet of the pump.

  • Publication number: 20240238502
Abstract: An apparatus for managing fluid from a tissue site may include a first portion and a second portion configured to be independently fluidly coupled to a tissue interface. The first portion can comprise a first end, a second end, a first fluid pathway extending from the first end to the second end, and a first plurality of features projecting into the first fluid pathway. The second portion can comprise a first end and a second end. The second portion can include a second fluid pathway, a third fluid pathway, and a fourth fluid pathway formed along a length of the second portion. The portion can also include a second plurality of features, a third plurality of features, and a fourth plurality of features projecting into the second fluid pathway, the third fluid pathway, and the fourth fluid pathway, respectively. Other apparatuses and methods are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20090213371
Abstract: A spectrophotometer has a first photodetector (24) and a second photodetector (25) which is displaced spatially from the first photodetector in the direction of increasing wavelength in the spectrum. At any given time the second photodetector receives light at a wavelength which is substantially greater than that being received simultaneously by the first photodetector at that time. The first photodetector has first range of wavelengths over which it is operable and a first upper operating limit, and the second photodetector has a second range of wavelengths over which it is operable and a second upper operating limit, the second range overlapping the first range and the second upper operating limit being greater than the first upper operating limit. Thus the range of operation is extended, and data in two different ranges is processed simultaneously.
