  • Patent number: 10991399
Abstract: A computer-implemented audio alignment system includes a storage device and a processor. The storage device is configured to ingest and store video files, which each include one or more respective audio soundtracks. The processor is configured to receive an alternate audio file associated with one of the video files. The alternate audio file includes an alternate audio soundtrack with dialogue and non-dialogue audio. The video file includes an original language audio soundtrack with dialogue and non-dialogue audio. The processor aligns the non-dialogue audio from the alternate audio soundtrack with the non-dialogue audio from the original language audio soundtrack and aligns the alternate audio soundtrack with the film based on the alignment of the non-dialogue audio from the alternate audio soundtrack with the non-dialogue audio from the original language audio soundtrack.

  • Publication number: 20190311746
Abstract: A computer-implemented video classification system includes a storage device configured to ingest and store video files having respective audio tracks. Processors in the system are configured with instructions to perform a perceptual hash algorithm on each of the audio tracks to generate one or more audio fingerprints for each audio track. The audio fingerprints are associated with the respective video files. The video files are indexed based upon the audio fingerprints. Audio tracks from unknown video files are hashed and compared to audio fingerprints of known video files in a repository to identify the unknown video files.

  • Publication number: 20190311744
Abstract: A media frame alignment system aligns textless media clips with associated texted media frames in a multimedia production, such as film or video. Textless frames in a film clip are aligned with frames containing text (e.g., in the final version of a film) based on similar frame data. Masking may be applied to both the textless clip and to the texted frames to mask areas within the frames that differ, such as the text in the multimedia production and the associated areas in the textless clip. The frame data surrounding the masks can be analyzed and the frame data from the textless frames and from the texted frames in the multimedia production can be compared to determine matching frames. Once the textless frames are matched with texted frames in the multimedia production, an edit decision list (EDL) and/or master textless version may be created.

  • Patent number: 10412465
Abstract: Various aspects of a system and method to control playback of digital content are disclosed herein. In accordance with an embodiment, the system includes a first electronic device, which is configured to pair the first electronic device with a unique user account in a server. The pairing is performed by use of an application embedded in a physical storage medium. User viewing information, associated with a content item currently played through the physical storage medium, is communicated by the first electronic device to the server. The playback of the content item is resumed on login to the unique user account on a second electronic device from a last view state of the content item played through the physical storage medium by the first electronic device.
