Publication number: 20240111802Abstract: A machine may form all or part of a network-based system configured to provide media service to one or more user devices. The machine may be configured to define a station library within a larger collection of media files. In particular, the machine may access metadata that describes a seed that forms the basis on which the station library is to be defined. The machine may determine a genre composition for the station library based on the metadata. The machine may generate a list of media files from the metadata based on a relevance of each media file to the station library. The machine may determine the relevance of each media file based on a similarity of the media file to the genre composition of the station library as well as a comparison of metadata describing the media file to the accessed metadata that describes the seed.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: Peter C. DiMaria, Andrew Silverman

Publication number: 20240094741Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for automated following behind a lead vehicle. The lead vehicle navigates a path from a starting point to a destination. The lead vehicle and the following vehicle are connected via V2V communication, allowing one or more following vehicles to detect the path taken by the lead vehicle. A computerized control system on the following vehicle (a Follow-the-Leader, or FTL, system) allows the following vehicle to mimic the behavior of the lead vehicle, with the FTL system controlling steering to guide the following vehicle along the path previously navigated by the lead vehicle. In some embodiments, the lead vehicle and following vehicle may both use Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) position coordinates. In some embodiments, the following vehicle may also have a system of sensors to maintain a gap between the following and lead vehicles.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Applicant: Peloton Technology, Inc.Inventors: Shad Laws, Joshua Switkes, Art Gavrysh, Marc Tange, Mark Herbert, Colleen Twitty, Dean Hogle, Andrew Tamoney, Eric Monsler, Carlos Rosario, Oliver Bayley, Richard Pallo, Louis Donayre, Laurenz Laubinger, Brian Smartt, Joyce Tam, Brian Silverman, Tabitha Jarvis, Murad Bharwani, Steven Erlein, Austin Schuh, Mark Luckevich

Patent number: 10691784Abstract: Systems, methods, and processor-readable media are disclosed to adaptively secure access operations with respect to electronic resources. A request from an endpoint device may be detected, and adaptive authentication may be initiated. Identifiers for the endpoint device may be generated or retrieved. An access-right indicator may be identified to facilitate determination of whether particularized access for electronic resources is to be granted. Initiation of access events by the endpoint device may be detected. Sensor-based data that is based on a first set of sensors capturing phenomena at the endpoint device may be received. A particularized specification of recognized patterns mapped to the access-right indicator may be adaptively developed. A nonconformance of additional data with respect to the particularized specification may be detected.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2018Date of Patent: June 23, 2020Assignee: PEARSON EDUCATION, INC.Inventors: Derek Frempong, Geanie Paek, Andrew Silverman

Publication number: 20190096015Abstract: Systems and methods for provisioning at a management platform system for a user of the platform system. A user device stores a provisioning request for an asset system, and the asset system stores an OATH token of the user for use of the platform system. The platform system includes a REST API to communicate with a plurality of asset systems via the Internet, and an interface to communicate notifications to a plurality of user devices via the Internet based on information received by the platform system from a plurality of external provider systems via the Internet. The user device provides the provisioning request to the asset system to control the asset system to use the OATH token to request the platform system to provide an assessment notification and a utility notification to the user device via the Internet.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2018Publication date: March 28, 2019Inventors: Jonah Schwartz, Heath Andrew Silverman
