  • Patent number: 11959414
Abstract: Operating a gaseous fuel engine includes spark-igniting gaseous hydrogen fuel and air, and propagating combustion gases of the spark-ignited mixture outwardly from a spark gap. The propagating combustion gases are impinged upon a cone surface of a piston so as to limit a flame area of the propagating combustion gases. Additional gaseous hydrogen fuel and air is ignited in the combustion cylinder by way of the propagating combustion gases to urge a piston toward a bottom-dead-center position.

  • Publication number: 20240117352
Abstract: Aspects of the invention described herein concern the incorporation of a FOXP3 cDNA (e.g., full-length human codon-optimized cDNA) into a FOXP3 gene or a non-FOXP3 locus so as to provide constitutive or regulated FOXP3 expression in a primary human CD34+ cells or cells derived from edited CD34+ cells. In some embodiments, guide RNA sequences that are directed to FOXP3, AAVS1, or other candidate loci are used for CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene regulation, and gene delivery cassettes for HDR based gene-modification are provided.

  • Publication number: 20240095545
Abstract: An online system generates predicted outcomes for a content distribution program that distributes content to users of the online system, the predicted outcome indicating a likelihood for the occurrence of an outcome of a content presentation. The online system transmits the one or more predicted outcomes to the third-party system, and receives prediction improvement data from the third-party system, the prediction improvement data indicating an adjustment to errors in the predicted outcomes based on a prediction by the third-party system. The online system updates the properties of a content distribution program based on the prediction improvement data, the updated content distribution program causing the online system to generate new predicted outcomes based on the prediction improvement data in content presentation opportunities. The online system also transmits content to users of the online system based on the updated content distribution program.

  • Publication number: 20240098685
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, non-transitory computer-readable media, and methods for automatically addressing emergency situations, customizing emergency user interfaces and options, and managing emergency communications. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems detect a transportation irregularity and generate an emergency assistance user interface based on an emergency severity associated with the transportation irregularity. Based on user interactions with the generated emergency assistance user interface, the disclosed systems generate and send an emergency communication to a remote third-party system.

  • Publication number: 20240081658
Abstract: The invention provides a neck-worn sensor (referred to herein as the ‘necklace’) that is a single, body-worn system that measures the following parameters from an ambulatory patient: heart rate, pulse rate, pulse oximetry, respiratory rate, temperature, thoracic fluid levels, stroke volume, cardiac output, and a parameter sensitive to blood pressure called pulse transit time. From stroke volume, a first algorithm employing a linear model can estimate the patient's pulse pressure. And from pulse pressure and pulse transit time, a second algorithm, also employing a linear algorithm, can estimate systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. Thus, the necklace can measure all five vital signs along with hemodynamic parameters. It also includes a motion-detecting accelerometer, from which it can determine motion-related parameters such as posture, degree of motion, activity level, respiratory-induced heaving of the chest, and falls.

  • Patent number: 11926823
Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for genome modification of a nucleotide sequence located in or near a male fertility gene of MS9, MS22, MS26, or MS45 in the genome of a plant cell or plant to produce a male-sterile plant. In some examples, the methods and compositions employ a guide RNA/Cas endonuclease system for modifying or altering target sites located in or near a male fertility gene of MS9, MS22, MS26, or MS45 in the genome of a plant cell, plant or seed to produce a male-sterile plant. Also provided are compositions and methods employing a guide polynucleotide/Cas endonuclease system for genome modification a nucleotide sequence located in or near a male fertility gene of MS9, MS22, MS26, or MS45 in the genome of a plant cell to produce a male-sterile plant. Compositions and methods are also provided for restoring fertility to a Ms9, Ms22, Ms26, or Ms45 nucleotide sequence to a male-sterile Ms9, Ms22, Ms26, or Ms45 plant produced using the methods and compositions described herein.

  • Patent number: 11920528
Abstract: Operating a gaseous fuel engine system includes detecting preignition in one or more of a plurality of cylinders based on a monitored cylinder pressure during combustion of a gaseous fuel such as a gaseous hydrogen fuel. Operating a gaseous fuel engine system also includes reducing a fuel injection amount for the one or more of the plurality of cylinders to a derated fuel injection amount that is based on a timing of the detected preignition. Fuel injection amount may be reduced to a greater relative extent if detected preignition is early, and to a lesser relative extent if detected preignition is later, in an engine cycle. Related apparatus and control logic is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240072373
Abstract: A system and method for flushing the electrolyte out of an electrolyte flushable battery apparatus during a thermal runaway event. At least one condition of the electrolyte flushable battery apparatus is monitored to detect a potential thermal runaway event based on the at least one condition exceeding a threshold value. In response the inlet valve and outlet valves on the battery apparatus are opened. A flushing liquid is flushed or pumped through the battery apparatus where the flushing liquid enters the apparatus through the inlet valve and leaves the apparatus through the outlet valve. The flushing liquid is then stored in a reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20240070716
Abstract: A system for conditional advertising budget calibration and allocation is disclosed, including at least one user computing device in operable connection with a network. An application server is in operable communication with the user network to host an application program for providing a system for advertising budget calibration and allocation. The application program includes a user interface module for providing access to the application program through the user computing device. A machine learning engine receives a plurality data from an employee and capacity database configured to store employee capacity information and determining a bandwidth for one or more employees to allocate a budget. The system allows for the calibration of a daily budget to fill a capacity as well as allowing for the allocation of budgets between channels.

  • Publication number: 20240068418
Abstract: Operating a gaseous fuel engine system includes conveying hydrogen fuel and hydrocarbon fuel into a cylinder in a gaseous fuel engine for combustion. Operating a gaseous fuel engine system further includes receiving an increased engine power output request, boosting a power output of the gaseous fuel engine by varying a ratio of the hydrogen fuel and the hydrocarbon fuel combusted in the cylinder, and varying an in-cylinder combustion parameter based on the varying a ratio. Perturbation to a performance profile of the gaseous fuel engine is thereby limited. Related apparatus and control logic is also disclosed.
