  • Patent number: 11455536
Abstract: Described is a system (and method) for training and using machine learning models to identify potential discrepancies between predicted odds and actual odds for a future event. The system may create a predicted odds machine learning model using an ensemble training algorithm. To create the risk management machine learning model, the system may determine a set of past odds differences between predicted odds outputted by the predicted odds machine learning model for past events and the actual historical odds for those past events. Once the predicted odds machine learning model and risk management machine learning model are trained, the system may use current (or real-time) event information to determine potential opportunities to leverage based on discrepancies between predicted odds of upcoming events and the actual odds for those events.

  • Patent number: 9333938
Abstract: An airbag includes an outer shell defining an interior of the airbag, and a divider positioned in the interior so as to divide the interior into a first chamber and a second chamber. A valve mechanism is operatively coupled to the divider. The valve mechanism includes an opening enabling fluid communication between the first and second chambers, and a flap positioned in the second chamber overlying the opening. The flap is structured to deflect in a direction away from the opening responsive to a pressure differential urging a flow of gas from the first chamber through the opening into the second chamber. The flap is also structured to block the opening responsive to a reverse pressure differential urging a flow of gas from the second chamber through the opening into the first chamber. The flap includes at least one attachment edge along which the flap is attached to the divider and at least one non-attachment edge along which the flap is not attached to the divider.

  • Patent number: 9156425
Abstract: An airbag can include a first portion disposed closest to the passenger seat upon deployment, and configured to be rolled to form a cylindrical configuration having an axis that is perpendicular to a vehicle's longitudinal axis. The first portion can include a serpentine section disposed closest the vehicle's longitudinal axis and configured to be folded in a serpentine manner along the cylindrical configuration's axis. The first portion can include a rolled section that is spaced further from the longitudinal axis of the vehicle than the serpentine section. The airbag can include a second portion disposed closer to the instrument panel than the first portion and including a tether that is rigidly connected to the vehicle. The second portion can be disposed further from the longitudinal axis of the vehicle than the serpentine section, but at approximately the same distance from the longitudinal axis of the vehicle as the rolled section.

  • Publication number: 20150081841
Abstract: Systems and methods for synchronizing data between a communications management system and data management system. In some implementations, contact data may be requested from a data management system external to and/or operated by a distinct entity with respect to a communications management system. The requested contact data may be received at the communications management system and the communications management system may be used to establish a communication using at least one contact from the requested contact data. The requested contact data may be updated using data generated during the communication and then updated contact data may be transmitted to the data management system to synchronize the two systems.

  • Patent number: 7904403
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system and computer usable program code for solving an application failure using social collaboration are provided. A search request to search a central repository of knowledge is received. The search request comprises a user identity and an application failure problem to be solved. The central repository of knowledge comprises data regarding attempts to solve an application failure problem compiled from registered users of the central repository of knowledge. A determination is made as to whether the application failure problem to be solved exists in the central repository. If the application failure problem to be solved exists within the central repository, search results for previous attempts at solving the application failure problem are collected. The search results are ranked based on a frequency of access and feedback from users and are grouped according to social groupings defined by the requester. The results are displayed to a requester.

  • Publication number: 20060281556
Abstract: Multiple versions of a runtime system, such as a software emulation application that emulates a legacy hardware architecture, are allowed to co-exist in the memory of a new hardware architecture. The operating system software of the new hardware architecture reads configuration data from a database or table to decide which version of the runtime system is desirable for an application program or game that is being loaded or is currently running, and, if a match is found, only that runtime system is invoked. To reduce storage footprint, the different versions of the runtime system may be stored using “differential patching” techniques. In this configuration, the operating system will always launch the same basic runtime system binary, but it will select a different differential patch to apply at run-time based on the title as determined during the database lookup.

  • Publication number: 20060259292
Abstract: Attempts by drivers of a virtualized legacy computer game to communicate with nonexistent legacy game system hardware are converted into calls to actual hardware of the host computer game system. An access control list (ACL) restricting and/or reducing page permissions is used to explicitly forbid the drivers of the legacy computer game operating on the virtualized legacy computer game platform from writing to the MMIO addresses of the legacy computer game system. When the operating system of the virtualized legacy computer game platform attempts to touch its driver memory by writing to the MMIO addresses, the operating system of the host computer game system perceives a memory access violation, suspends the virtual machine implementing the virtualized computer game platform, and passes the intended write to an exception handler of the host operating system.

  • Publication number: 20030127889
Abstract: The present invention is a new and improved highchair back support that fills extra space left in a highchair when a small child sits therein, thereby supporting the back of the child to prevent the child from sliding. The present invention generally comprises a seatback cover dimensioned to be slid over the back of a highchair and a support cushion that removably attaches to the seatback cover.
