  • Publication number: 20120052211
Abstract: A process used during manufacture of printed circuit boards comprises protecting metal pads and/or through-holes to provide a tarnish-resistant and solderable coating. In the method, the pads and/or through-holes are bright-etched, metal plated, preferably by an immersion process, and treated with a tarnish inhibitor. The tarnish inhibitor may be incorporated into the immersion plating bath. The metal plating is usually with silver or bismuth and the pads and/or through-holes comprise copper.

  • Patent number: 6940627
Abstract: A system and method for controlling an electrochromic device is provided. The system comprises a light source that produces an input light signal, and an electrochromic window configured to attenuate the input light signal by a certain amount and transmit a resulting attenuated light signal. An optical detector is configured to detect an optical property of the attenuated light signal, and a power module is connected to the electrochromic window and the detector. The power module generates a pulse-width modulated power signal and inputs the power signal to the electrochromic window. The power signal is modulated by an amount based on the detected optical property of the attenuated light signal. A control circuit for an electrochromic device is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050024705
Abstract: The invention relates generally to a new type of electrochromic (EC) window, and a method of manufacturing the same. The EC window of the present invention utilizes a photopolymerizable monomer in a liquid-like solution to allow the entire solution to be cured to a substantially solid form using light instead of heat. The EC window includes a first plate layer, a first conductive layer, a guest host electrolyte/electrochromic layer, a second conductive layer, and a second plate layer.
