  • Publication number: 20190272725
Abstract: A system for monitoring people's activity and/or health while at the same time preserving their privacy. Monitoring is accomplished by detecting state of people's electronic devices, e.g., a smart phone. When use of the monitored device deviates from an expected use an alert is automatically sent to a monitoring device. The relationships between users are optionally maintained in a social network. Privacy is strictly protected by reporting only deviations from use according to rules set by the person being monitored. Optionally an activity monitoring system receives data from multiple sources such as a home security system, IoT devices and a smartphone. The use of multiple data sources provides an improved activity monitoring system capable of distinguishing normal activity from abnormal activity that may be indicative of a physical or mental health condition. Variations in the monitored activity are used to identify potential health issues for the user.

  • Patent number: 6289865
Abstract: An oil pick-up tube for carrying oil from an oil reservoir to an oil pump, comprises an oil pick-up end disposed in the oil reservoir, a pump end disposed in the oil pump, and a transporting tube portion to deliver oil from the oil pick-up end to the pump end. The pump end includes an insert cylinder having outer diameter D and an oil outlet, an outer diameter d tube portion, and a flared portion tapering from the insert cylinder to the outer diameter d tube portion. The pick-up tube further comprises an o-ring seal disposed about the outer diameter d tube portion, wherein the diameter D of the insert cylinder is greater than the diameter d of the outer diameter d tube portion for keeping the o-ring seal about the tube prior to assembly with the oil pump.

  • Patent number: 6234154
Abstract: An internal combustion engine comprises an engine block having a crankshaft housed in a crankcase portion of the engine block and a coolant jacket adjacent to cylinder walls defining a coolant passage through the engine block to transfer heat from the cylinder walls to coolant flowing therethrough. An oil separator, formed integrally within said engine block and adjacent the coolant jacket, operates to separate oil from blowby gas accumulating in the crankcase portion and to transfer heat from the coolant passage to warm the blowby gas. The engine further includes a cylinder head mounted on an upper surface of the engine block, which may include a PCV passage to transfer blowby gas from the oil separator to the intake.
