  • Patent number: 11966159
Abstract: Organometallic solutions have been found to provide high resolution radiation based patterning using thin coatings. The patterning can involve irradiation of the coated surface with a selected pattern and developing the pattern with a developing agent to form the developed image. The patternable coatings may be susceptible to positive-tone patterning or negative-tone patterning based on the use of an organic developing agent or an aqueous acid or base developing agent. The radiation sensitive coatings can comprise a metal oxo/hydroxo network with organic ligands. A precursor solution can comprise an organic liquid and metal polynuclear oxo-hydroxo cations with organic ligands having metal carbon bonds and/or metal carboxylate bonds.

  • Patent number: 10753699
Abstract: An improved firearm suppressor is provided. The firearm suppressor generally includes a primary flow path and a secondary flow path. The primary flow path is centrally disposed within the suppressor and includes multiple internal chambers that are separated by conical baffles. The secondary flow path is helically disposed within the firearm suppressor. A diverter directs a portion of the propellant gas rearward, over a firearm barrel, before entering spiral lanes in the forward direction. The primary flow path slows the movement of propellant gas escaping through a projectile exit port, while the secondary flow path slows the movement of propellant gas escaping through a plurality of propellant gas exit ports.

  • Patent number: 10692230
Abstract: A self-service terminal, such as an automated teller machine, can have a fascia, a display positioned on the fascia, and a depth sensing camera positioned on the fascia. The camera can capture a video stream of a hand-held document, such as a check, and capture a depth map stream of the hand-held document. A processor positioned in the self-service terminal can sequentially: determine, from the depth map stream, that the document is outside a specified range of distances away from the camera; present, on the display, instructions to reposition the document to be within the specified range of distances away from the camera; determine, from the depth map stream, that the document is within the specified range of distances away from the camera; and automatically capture an image of the document from the video stream.

  • Patent number: 9052152
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a suppressor for use with a weapon. The suppressor may be formed to have a body portion having a bore extending concentric with a bore axis of the weapon barrel. An opening in the bore extends at least substantially circumferentially around the bore. A flow path communicates with the opening and defines a channel for redirecting gasses flowing in the bore out from the bore, through the opening, into a rearward direction in the flow path. The flow path raises a pressure at the opening to generate a Mach disk within the bore at a location approximately coincident with the opening. The Mach disk forms as a virtual baffle to divert at least a portion of the gasses into the opening and into the flow path.

  • Publication number: 20140262602
Abstract: A combination acoustic and flash suppression system and method for use with a weapon that fires a bullet. A noise suppressor module or section of the system is adapted to be connected to a distal end of a barrel of the weapon, and a flash suppressor module or section of the system is adapted to be connected to the outlet end of the noise suppressor module, so that the downstream position of the flash suppressor module relative to the noise suppressor module helps to disrupt a Mach disk from forming at a downstream location from the discharge port when a bullet fired from the barrel exits from the discharge port so as to suppress both flash and noise.

  • Patent number: 8807005
Abstract: A suppressor is disclosed for use with a weapon having a barrel through which a bullet is fired. The suppressor has an inner portion having a bore extending coaxially therethrough. The inner portion is adapted to be secured to a distal end of the barrel. A plurality of axial flow segments project radially from the inner portion and form axial flow paths through which expanding propellant gasses discharged from the barrel flow through. The axial flow segments have radially extending wall portions that define sections which may be filled with thermally conductive material, which in one example is a thermally conductive foam. The conductive foam helps to dissipate heat deposited within the suppressor during firing of the weapon.

  • Publication number: 20100228640
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a response to a request are provided. A request may be a transaction request. In some embodiments, a request is received from a client device which is coupled to a display device. The client device is associated to a user. A determination is made whether the request is authorized. A request may be authorized if it includes a key that is associated with sensitive credit card user data stored offsite by a merchant bank. A request is transmitted to a server coupled to the display device. A response from the server is transmitted to the display device for display therein. The response is based on the determination of whether the request is authorized.

  • Publication number: 20100228613
Abstract: A user is rewarded for actions performed within an entertainment system. Digital content is provided to a client device over a network. Data is then received from the client device over the network. The received data represents an input from a user of the client device in response to the digital content provided to the client device. A value associated with the input from the user is determined. An account balance associated with the user is adjusted by a quantity of credit tokens. The quantity of tokens is determined by the value associated with the input from the user.

  • Publication number: 20100228592
Abstract: Media is provided to a client device in response to a request with dynamically selected advertisements. One or more advertisements can be dynamically selected by an application server based on user data, advertisement parameters and other data to provide in or near the requested media. Attributes can be determined for one or more advertisement sets in which advertisements are placed within the requested media. The advertisement sets may be configured with the identified advertisements by an application server, and the requested media content and identified ads can be provided to the requesting client device.

  • Publication number: 20090216621
Abstract: A media based entertainment service provides user requested media to a user. Video, audio, images and other media may be provided to a user for a fee or free of charge. The media may be provided from the service provider to a client device over a network. When providing media without charge, the media service can incorporate one or more ads into the media. The ads may be targeted to the user, media content, and other features using advertisement parameters. The media service provides for revenue generation associated with the viewing of media files. The media service can generate revenue from advertising, pay-per-view, e-commerce, and other financial transactions associated with the media service while focusing on providing the service on user preferences.

  • Publication number: 20040095400
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for automatic manipulation of content for display on different devices, including devices having small display areas. In one embodiment, the disclosed system and method provide for reconfiguration of source content by manipulating the source content from top to bottom and from right to left. Elements of the source content that are not commonly supported among a wide array of devices and formats, as well as spacer images, are filtered from the source content. Table data is reconfigured by copying the table content and replacing the table cells with line breaks. Further, if the source content is larger than a predetermined size, a reconfiguration application divides the source content into sub-documents, each sub-document having a size smaller or equal to the threshold size. Individual sub-documents may include a link to another one of the sub-documents.

  • Patent number: 6738400
Abstract: A cooling structure (16) for use inside a ceramic cylindrical tube (11) of a metal vapor laser (10) to cool the plasma in the tube (11), the cooling structure (16) comprising a plurality of circular metal members (17, 31) and mounting members (18, 34) that position the metal members (17, 31) coaxially in the tube (11) to form an annular lasing volume, with the metal members (17, 31) being axially spaced from each other along the length of the tube (11) to prevent the metal members from shorting out the current flow through the plasma in the tube (11) and to provide spaces through which the heat from localized hot spots in the plasma may radiate to the other side of the tube (11).
