    Abstract: In one aspect, an apparatus for supporting the head and neck of a user for airway management is disclosed, which comprises a top surface including at least one head-receiving portion configured and dimensioned for receiving and supporting a user's head, and at least one recess neck opening for supporting a user's neck when the user's head is received in the head-receiving portion. The apparatus further includes at least one chin support protruding above the top surface and configured for facilitating placing the user in a sniff position when the user's head is received in the head-receiving portion. The chin support can include a top surface segment and a lateral surface segment, where at least a portion of the lateral surface segment of the chin support extends from the top surface segment thereof to the at least one recess neck opening.
