Abstract: A plural-mode, multi-market user interface (UI) assembly is provided for increasing user satisfaction and productivity on units of the same model of a machine in a plurality of different user markets. The UI assembly includes a display screen for displaying user dialog information, a series of machine process control and user interactive functional features for operator access to control operation of the machine, a plurality of different market optimized user dialog information display modes that are connected to the series of machine process control and user interactive functional features, for displaying on the display screen, an associated controller, and a means or device for selectively switching from one to another of the plurality of different market optimized user dialog information display modes, thereby enabling increased user satisfaction and user productivity on the same model of a machine in a plurality of different user markets.

Abstract: There is provided a fault management system for a printing system having a memory for storing a first set of attribute values and a second set of attribute values. The fault management system includes a user interface with a display screen upon which a selected one of the first set of attribute values and the second set of attribute values is displayable. The printing system further includes a system, responsive to which one of the first set of attribute values and second set of attribute values is to be displayed on said user interface display screen, for controlling display of one or both of a first set of fault related information and a second set of fault related information on the display screen.

Abstract: A method for processing a job, including image data and a set of attributes, in a document processing system is provided. Each attribute is corresponded with either a default value or a user set value. The document processing system further includes a user interface at which a set of default values are settable, in response to user input, to create a set of user set values, and a memory for storing at least a part of the image data of the job wherein the at least part of the image data of the job is less than all of the image data of the job. The method includes: (a) storing the at least part of the image data in the memory; (b) in response to user input, respectively changing one or more values of the set of user set values to one or more values of the set of default values; and (c) in response to the changing in (b), deleting the at least part of the image data in the memory when a selected condition is met.

Abstract: A method for altering attribute values in a printing system with a user interface having a display screen is provided. A first user dialog having a first set of attribute values and a second user dialog having a second set of attribute values are selectively displayable on the display screen; while the first set of attribute values is alterable from a first user settable configuration to a first default configuration and the second set of attribute values is alterable from a second user settable configuration to a second default configuration.

Abstract: A method of providing immediate status and capability indicators of an imaging device to an operator by displaying at the user interface display screen an indicator of imaging device features available for operation and a display of imaging device features not available for operation. There is also provided a display of imaging device features in use by animating the display screen and there are displayed connecting channels indicating connection of the imaging device to other devices on the network. Finally, there is presented to the operator a manifestation of the capability of concurrent feature operation of the imaging device.

Abstract: A method and system enables an assignment of a feature value from a set of preset feature values for a copy operation to be performed on a reprographic system The system displays a first screen on a user interface associated with the reprographic system, the first screen displaying a plurality of activatable areas corresponding to a subset of the set of preset feature values and an activatable area corresponding to a second screen associated with the set of preset reduction enlargement values. The system further determines if the activatable area corresponding to the second screen is engaged and displays the second screen on the user interface associated with the reprographic system the activatable area corresponding to the second screen is engaged, the second screen displaying a plurality of activatable areas such that each preset feature value within the set of preset feature values has an activatable area associated therewith.

Abstract: A print media sheet tray control system for use with a printing system having a controller is provided. The control system includes a print media sheet tray which is configurable, through use of the controller, in a selected one of a first operational mode and a second operational mode. The configurable print media sheet tray is characterized by a print media attribute set having a selected state which can be either a first state or a second state. If the configurable print media sheet tray is configured in the first operational mode, then the controller prohibits printing system operation if the selected state has been altered from the first state to the second state. On the other hand, if the configurable print media sheet tray is configured in the second operational mode, then operation of the printing system is permitted provided the alteration was achieved pursuant to a preselected alteration process.

Abstract: Truss bars are pivotally joined together through locking slip sleeves and are locked at selected splay angles relative to one another by a locking splay bar. The truss bars support columns of audio equipment cabinets with lengths of cabling attached to pivotal plates locked into mounting brackets installed in the side walls of the cabinets. The columns of cabinets are tilted by cables connecting a pull back clip installed on the bottom most cabinet of each column to the rear of an extension bar removably mounted to each truss bar.

Abstract: A hold down incorporating a mounting plate configured with a downwardly opening recess and an elevated retainer collar configured with an aperture. A swivel is configured with an enlarged-in-diameter retainer head received in such recess and an upwardly projecting pivot shank configured with a cross bore which receives a circular retainer ring having an outside diameter larger than such aperture so that such ring and the retainer head cooperate to positively lock the swivel to the mounting plate.

Abstract: An improved cable crossover device for protecting electrical cables from damage. The device is modular in design and comprises modular sections coupled together by a strengthened interlocking system which allows for a variable length device. The main modular section comprises a solid body of elastomeric material comprising two opposed ramps. Each ramp comprises a bottom, generally horizontal surface and an inclined surface extending upwardly from the bottom surface at an angle. Each ramp merges with a central portion of the crossover device comprising a horizontal surface between which is located a plurality of U-shaped recesses, each recess comprising spaced vertical walls and a horizontal base wall therebetween. The electrical cables are positioned within the recesses, each recess being dimensioned so that more than one cable can be supported therein.
