  • Patent number: 11941764
Abstract: A computer system displays a representation of a field of view of the one or more cameras, including a representation of a portion of a three-dimensional physical environment that is in the field of view of the one or more cameras. The computer system receives a request to add a first virtual effect to the displayed representation of the field of view of the one or more cameras. In response to receiving the request to add the first virtual effect to the displayed representation of the field of view of the one or more cameras and in accordance with a determination that the first virtual effect requires a scan of the physical environment, the computer system initiates a scan of the physical environment to detect one or more features of the physical environment and displays a user interface that indicates a progress of the scan of the physical environment.

  • Patent number: 10801841
Abstract: Described herein are various technologies pertaining to extracting one or more features from trajectory data recorded during motion of a body, and further, generating a n-dimensional feature vector based upon the one or more extracted features. The n-dimensional feature vector enables expedited analysis of the trajectory data from which the feature vector was generated. For example, rather than having to analyze a trajectory curve comprising a large number of time-position data points, the n-dimensional feature vector can be compared with one or more search parameters to facilitate clustering of the trajectory data associated with the n-dimensional feature vector with other trajectory data which also satisfies the search request. The trajectory data can be plotted on a screen in combination with the n-dimensional feature vector, and other pertinent information. The trajectory data, etc., can be displayed using heat maps or other graphical representation.

  • Patent number: 10181078
Abstract: Described herein are various technologies pertaining to analysis of eye tracking data. A head and/or eyes of an observer who is viewing a visual stimulus is monitored, and eye tracking data that is representative of the path of the eyes of the observer over time (a scanpath) is generated. The eye tracking data is time-series data that defines the location of the focal point, or other measurable characteristics, of the eyes of the observer on the visual stimulus over time. A feature vector is constructed based upon the eye tracking data, where the feature vector is representative of the eye tracking data, and is thus representative of the scanpath. The feature vector is compared with other feature vectors to identify scanpaths that correspond to the scanpath represented by the feature vector.

  • Patent number: 8288641
Abstract: The apparatus involves a hand-held housing with a memory for storing coded audio event data, a mechanism for downloading into the memory coded audio event data and digital-audio electronics for retrieving coded audio event data from memory, converting it to an audio signal and playing it out. In one disclosed embodiment of the invention, the data are stored in accordance with a musical instrument digital interface (MIDI) standard, and may be created on an appropriately equipped personal computer (PC). The capacity of such a hand-held device is far greater than if the data were conventionally digitized or coded. A wirelessly networked system of such music devices in physical proximity is disclosed that enables audio score synthesis and mixing by at least one such device of a synthesized score and an inputted score for outplay to others in a real-time musical jam or music-sharing session.

  • Patent number: 7302697
Abstract: A broadcast pause and resume system may enable replay from a random access memory of video information received from a video distribution source such as cable, broadcast television or satellite distribution as examples. Key frames may be stored which enable the replay from the memory of both video and enhanced content. In some embodiments of the present invention, a reference to stored enhanced content may be stored instead of storing the entire contents of a browser cache.

  • Patent number: 6526381
Abstract: A processor-based system may utilize a remote control unit which not only allows mouse input commands to be provided to the processor-based system but also includes a microphone and a speech engine for decoding spoken commands and providing code for presenting the commands to the processor-based unit. The processor-based system may provide information to the remote control unit about the vocabulary currently being used by applications active on the processor-based system. This allows the speech engine in the remote control unit to focus on a more limited vocabulary, increasing the accuracy of the speech recognition function and decreasing the capabilities necessary in the remote control unit based speech engine.

  • Patent number: 6507350
Abstract: A method and device for adjusting the power consumption of a computer system are disclosed. A user application running on the computer system is arranged to operate in any one of a preselected number of operating modes. A power conservation module obtains power characteristics from a power information module, selects one of the preselected number of operating modes of the user application, as a function of the power characteristics obtained from the power information module, and causes the user application to operate in the selected operating mode.

  • Patent number: 5959622
Abstract: Still image capture under computer control. The computer is instructed to capture the still image capture at an occurrence of a trigger and, subsequently in time, captures the still image. In embodiments, the instructions can be made through a graphical user interface (GUI) displayed on a monitor or a keyboard coupled to the computer. The instruction can start a timed count until the still image is captured. In embodiments the trigger can be an external event, such as sound or motion sensed by appropriate transducers. In yet other embodiments, the computer issues a notification of an occurrence of a capture or a warning of an impending capture.
