  • Patent number: 9898893
Abstract: A gaming system includes an input mechanism for initiating a game and one or more displays providing a plurality of reels. The gaming system also includes a controller coupled to the one or more displays and the input mechanism. The controller is configured to: detect a win involving a combination of the symbol instances across two or more of the reels; determine that at least one of the symbol instances involved in the win is a wild symbol, the wild symbol able to assume the identity of at least one other symbol when detecting the win; and in response to determining that at least one of the symbol instances involved in the win is a wild symbol, updating at least one of the other of the symbol instances involved in the win to include a wild symbol for at least the next iteration of the game.

  • Publication number: 20110108092
Abstract: A concentrator for solar radiation and which comprises a housing having an aperture arranged to admit incident solar radiation and linearly extending receivers located within the housing. A plurality of linearly extending line focusing, tensile-loaded reflector elements is associated with each receiver and arranged to reflect toward the receiver incident solar radiation that enters the housing, and a drive mechanism is located within the housing and arranged to impart sun tracking pivotal drive to the reflector elements. A housing configuration is disclosed that, with aperture-defining windows, provides for maximal admission of solar radiation.

  • Patent number: 7021146
Abstract: The present invention provides an attitude sensing device and method for determining an attitude of a reference axis of a package containing a fiber optic sensor sensor. The attitude sensing device comprises an electro-mechanical attitude sensor for generating an electrical signal indicative of the attitude sensor, and converter logic for converting the electrical signal into a stimulus signal. A local power source is preferably provided for the electro-mechanical attitude sensor in the converter logic. The stimulus signal is such that the fiber optical sensor is responsive to the stimulus signal to cause a variation in at least one predetermined property of an optical signal transmitted through the fiber optic sensor, the attitude of the reference axis being determinable from the variation of the predetermined property.
