Abstract: Systems and methods are operable to limit use of a Controlled Wireless Device within a controlled environment. An exemplary embodiment establishes a first wireless communication link between a Controlled Wireless Device and a Linked Context Aware Communication and Control Device (LCACCD) Platform, detects proximity of the Controlled Wireless Device to the controlled environment, communicates a control signal from the LCACCD Platform to the Controlled Wireless Device when the Controlled Wireless Device is within the controlled environment, and controls communications of the Controlled Wireless Device based upon the communicated control signal, wherein the Controlled Wireless Device is communicating over a second wireless link established with a wireless carrier network.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are operable to system for communicate with vehicles. An exemplary embodiment employs a vehicle device and a server. The vehicle device is configured to communicate with a control network and at least one carrier. The server is configured to communicate with the control network and the at least one carrier, is configured to communicate command information with the vehicle device using the control network, and is configured to separately communicate information of interest with the vehicle device using the at least one carrier in accordance with the communicated command information communicated over the control network.

Abstract: A radio communications system is disclosed having an intrinsic pavement transmitter and antenna. A first transmitter/receiver is located at a first point along the intrinsic pavement transmitter and antenna, and is in communication with a user. A second transmitter/receiver is located at a second point along the intrinsic pavement transmitter and antenna, and is in communication with an end-user. The intrinsic pavement transmitter and antenna conducts radio frequency signals between the first and second transmitter/receiver. An intrinsic pavement transmitter and antenna is also disclosed. The intrinsic pavement transmitter and antenna comprises a roadway having a suitable wearing course material and an effective amount of radio frequency conductive material, sufficient to transmit and receive radio frequencies.
