  • Patent number: 5590575
Abstract: A lever handle, for a rotary hand tool such as a screwdriver, increases the operating torque of the tool to free a stuck fastener, and includes a generally U-shaped lever member pivotally mounted near the end of the handle, the lever member pivoting from a closed position alongside the handle wherein the tool will be rotated freely and quickly, and wherein a detent releasably holds the lever member in the closed position, to an open position projecting outward from the handle wherein the tool will be operated with increased torque to turn a rotary fastener, with either hand or with both hands, the handle including tapered slots to resiliently expand the lever member for assembly onto the handle.

  • Patent number: 5276943
Abstract: A handle for a paint can suspends the can securely from a ladder rung in a stationary mode in either an upright position with the can full of paint and the bottom resting upon an adjacent lower rung, or in an inclined position for easier access with the can partially full and the front wall resting against an adjacent lower rung, and includes a transverse hand grip member connected between two side supporting members having elongated vertical elements, straight horizontal elements, and dependent vertical elements, forming a hook structure to engage the ladder rung, and being pivotally attached to the can so that the handle may be folded against the can for storage.

  • Patent number: 4270587
Abstract: A nail holder for hammers is clipped to a hammer beneath the hammer head and includes a pair of juxtaposed, generally coextensive cantilever members of spring material having overlapping free ends which are located adjacent the hammer head and are resiliently biased toward one another to clamp the head of a nail gently between the free ends, with the shank of the nail projecting generally perpendicular to the cantilever members, in position for starting the nail, especially in relatively soft materials, the free ends facilitating freedom of movement of the free ends and selective release of the nail head from between the free ends subsequent to starting of the nail without disturbing the started purchase of the nail.
