  • Patent number: 12123280
Abstract: Embodiments presented provide for an apparatus that provides a dislodgable plug seat that is used to capture a cement wiper plug for wellbore cementing operations. The apparatus further includes a collar having a ball seat and a closing sleeve configured to be shifted from an open position to a closed position. In the open position, a fluid pathway between an interior volume and a wellbore annulus is unblocked, and in the closed position the fluid pathway is blocked. A split ring is shiftable with the closing sleeve between a retained configuration when the closing sleeve is in the open position and an expanded configuration when the closing sleeve is in the closed position. The split ring holds the dislodgable plug seat in place within the body in the retained configuration and releases the dislodgable plug seat in the expanded configuration.

  • Publication number: 20240061493
Abstract: A system and method for real time ramping, up or down, of computer processing units (CPUs) in operation based on available power from a variable power generation asset is disclosed. The system is configured with a power detection unit to analyze power provided from the variable power generation asset without the need for complex and expensive custom engineering integration. The power detection unit is configured to analyze voltage along the voltage mains line from the supplied power and apply a test load comparable to the load of one or more CPUs in a manner which does not negatively impact the CPUs already in operation. The system is able to ramp up CPUs in operation when additional power is available and ramp down CPUs when power is declining to avoid cycling of the computers when power demands exceed power availability. The system enables optimized operation of CPUs within a data center and can be implemented through a power control unit or a software control unit.

  • Patent number: 10360038
Abstract: A method to dynamically determine which instructions from a plurality of available instructions to issue in each clock cycle in a multithreaded processor capable of issuing a plurality of instructions in each clock cycle, comprises the steps of: determining a highest priority instruction from the plurality of available instructions; determining the compatibility of the highest priority instruction with each of the remaining available instructions; and issuing the highest priority instruction together with other instructions compatible with the highest priority instruction in the same clock cycle; wherein the highest priority instruction cannot be a speculative instruction. The effect of this is that speculative instructions are only ever issued together with at least one non-speculative instruction.
