Abstract: A system for robotic laboratory operations includes a stationary surface (2) adjacent laboratory equipment and at least one mover (4) configured to perform an action upon a payload atop the stationary surface (2). The action includes but is not limited to translation across at least a portion of the stationary surface. The at least one mover (4) has a drive member (12) configured to drive the translation a carrier that is mounted to the drive member and has a top surface configured to carry a pay load (8). The drive member (12) is configured to drive the at least one mover (4) across the at least the portion of the stationary surface (2) for moving the payload relative to the laboratory equipment.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to filtration container assemblies and methods of using the same. A filtration container assembly can include an outer container and a plunging assembly. The outer container can have a first open end and a second closed end that defines an inner cavity. The plunging assembly can include a first end and a second end, with the second end of the plunging assembly being configured to be received within the inner cavity of the outer container. The plunging assembly can also include an inner sleeve having a first end and a second end and an outer wall that defines an inner bore. The plunging assembly can further include a filtration assembly in fluid communication with the inner bore, with the filtration assembly including a flow control device.

Abstract: Provided are combination dosing regimens comprising administering cabotegravir and hyaluronidase. Combinations and compositions containing the cabotegravir and hyaluronidase are provided. The dosing regimens and combinations are for treating or preventing Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection.

Abstract: Method and system for detecting drug and/or drug metabolites in a liquid sample, such as a wastewater sample. According to one embodiment, the method involves providing a device that includes a graphene field effect transistor and a first aptamer coupled to the graphene field effect transistor in a first well, the first aptamer being selective for a first drug or drug metabolite. Next, a liquid sample is introduced to the first aptamer of the device. Next, a sweeping liquid gate voltage is applied to the device to obtain a resistance versus liquid gate voltage plot for the device. Next, the Dirac voltage shift, if any, in the liquid gate voltage plot for the device is used to determine the presence and/or quantity of the drug or drug metabolite. Additional aptamers selective for different drugs or drug metabolites of interest may also be included in other wells of the device.

The inner container is configured to receive treated water by way of a filter cartridge. The outer container is configured to hold untreated water and sleeve the filter cartridge and the inner container. The inner container and the filter cartridge are moveably positioned within the outer container to compress and draw the untreated water through filter media within the filter cartridge by way of a filter cap. The filter cap is movably positioned within a cavity of the outer container to draw treated water from the inner container through the filter media of the filter cartridge.

Abstract: A method of animating feather elements includes: specifying initial positions for a skin surface and for feather elements; specifying positions for the skin surface at an animated time; determining a feather-ordering sequence for placing the feather elements on the skin surface; determining positions for skirt elements that provide spatial extensions for the skin surface at the animated time; determining positions for feather-proxy elements that provide spatial extensions for the feather elements at the animated time; and determining positions for the feather elements at the animated time by extracting the feather elements from the feather-proxy elements. The feather-proxy elements are determined from the skirt elements according to the feather-ordering sequence, and the feather-proxy elements satisfy a separation criterion for avoiding intersections between the feather-proxy elements.

The plurality of spoken commands comprises at least one spoken call handling command and at least one spoken call origination command. In response to detecting a spoken call handling command, the system causes handling of an incoming call destined for the communication device in accordance with the detected spoken call handling command.

Abstract: Methods and systems to enable touch-free call origination using a communication device equipped with a microphone. The method comprises processing a first microphone signal at the device in an attempt to detect a spoken activation command potentially contained therein. Responsive to detection of a spoken activation command in the first microphone signal, the method continues by establishing a communication path between the device and a network entity to convey to the network entity a second microphone signal. Finally, the method comprises processing the second microphone signal at the network entity in an attempt to detect a call origination command potentially contained therein; and, responsive to detection of a call origination command in the second microphone signal, attempting establishment of a call in accordance with the detected call origination command. Thus, a call can be established without tactile interaction with the device and, moreover, with minimal computational load on the device.

Abstract: A telepresence system for providing a first user with a first display of an environment and a second user with a second display of the environment includes a plurality of arrays of cameras. Each camera has an associated view of the environment and an associated camera output representing the associated view, the arrays are situated at varying lengths from the environment and include at least one path for viewing the environment. In one embodiment, the cameras situated around the environment are removed after the cameras in the array are have transmitted the output to an associated storage node. A first user interface device has first user inputs associated with movement along a first path in the environment, and a second user interface device has second user inputs associated with along a second path in the environment. The user interface devices are coupled to at least one processing element that receives and interprets the user inputs.
