Tracking the patient includes, using a computer comprising an input peripheral manipulated by a user, receiving a first location of the patient within the medical facility identified by the user via the input peripheral. In response to a user interaction with the input peripheral, a second location of the patient is received, indicating movement of the patient from the first location to the second, different location.
