  • Publication number: 20100109949
Abstract: A mobile terminal having a hybrid navigation system and a method for determining a location thereof. A satellite navigation system receiver receives satellite data from a satellite. An inertial navigation system measuring device measures inertial data of the mobile terminal. A computing device receives the satellite data from the satellite navigation system receiver and the inertial data from the inertial navigation system measuring device, estimates a location of the mobile terminal using the inertial data, computes a state vector having location information obtained by correcting the estimated location using the satellite data and a state vector correlation error matrix having error information of the state vector, and determines the location of the mobile terminal using the state vector. The computing device uses a state vector correlation error matrix computed in a previous step when computing a state vector correlation error matrix in a current step.

  • Patent number: 7554944
Abstract: Method and apparatus of data transmission in a cellular communication system which can increase the efficiency of the information signal transmission in the downlink and, thus, maximize the information signal reception quality at the mobile station. The solution can also reduce the feedback channel (from mobile to base station) load. The apparatus operates along with the base station and provides M diversity groups of transmission channels, each group having K transmission channels.

  • Patent number: 7336641
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for determining mutual time difference between base station signals in an asynchronous code division multiplexing access (CDMA) system. The method comprises the steps of: measuring mutual time difference of signals transmitted between at least two base stations; determining all possible paths between said at least two base stations; and providing weights to the measured mutual time difference for said all possible paths. The apparatus comprises: a location measurement unit for measuring mutual time difference of signals transmitted between at least two base stations; a mobile user location center for receiving the mutual time difference of the signals measured by the location measurement unit, determining all possible paths between said at least two base stations, and providing weights to the measured mutual time difference for said all possible paths.
