    Abstract: The present invention relates generally to the field of primers and adhesion promoters. More specifically, the primer of the present invention is comprised of one or more multi-carbonylated methacrylates. In a preferred embodiment, a non-ketone polar solvent is also employed. The resulting composition eliminates primer related discoloration of artificial nail enhancements, eliminates the potential for corrosion of skin and nails, and eliminates risk of chemical burn injury, while providing stronger adhesion than currently available primers.
