  • Publication number: 20150002256
Abstract: Disclosed are devices and methods related to laminated polymeric planar magnetics. In some embodiments, a magnetic device can have a base layer including a polymeric laminate layer. The base layer can further include a set of one or more conductive ribbons implemented on a first side of the polymeric laminate layer. The base layer can have a perimeter that includes at least one cut edge. The magnetic device can further include a structure implemented on the base layer. The structure can include a set of one or more conductor features implemented on a side away from the base layer. The structure can have a perimeter that includes an edge set inward from the cut edge by an amount sufficient to allow a cutting operation that cuts the polymeric laminate layer to yield the cut edge.

  • Publication number: 20050166327
Abstract: A waterbed structure according to the invention comprises a water-containing body, long air protection borders, and a bed housing having a frame-shaped protection accommodating chamber. Each of the long air protection borders has transverse pull strips at a side thereof. The transverse strips have side edges thereof molded to side walls of the long air protection borders using high-cycle heat, and are disposed at interiors of the long air protection borders. The bed housing has a frame-shaped protection accommodating chamber, which is provided with at least an aperture at an appropriate position at an inner or outer side thereof for placing the aforesaid long air protection border. Furthermore, the bed housing is devised with attaching devices for joining with a long air protection border, thereby preventing the air protection borders from expanding outward for lengthening usage lifespan of the waterbed.

  • Patent number: 6035470
Abstract: A waterbed system is provided. The waterbed system comprises a water fillable bed mattress, a plurality of transverse partitions, an air bag unit, and a bed protecting cover. The plurality of transverse partitions serve to dissipate the water disturbances caused by the weight and movement of a user, and enhance the stability and structural integrity of the mattress when filled with water. Those portions of the water fillable bed mattress at which components are joined are thus subjected to less pressure and stress and, consequently, the threat of water leakage is minimized. In certain embodiments, at least one longitudinal partition is also disposed within the water fillable mattress to isolate water disturbances in one set of transverse partitions from propagating to another set of transverse partitions, if any. The longitudinal partition is formed with water openings spaced in offset manner.

  • Patent number: 5845353
Abstract: An improvement for a water bed includes a pair of water bed mattresses housed in a bed cover. There is a heat insulating foam or air bag sandwiched between the two water bed mattresses. Each water bed mattress has a plurality of transverse partitions to reduce water vibration and turbulence therein. The disclosed structure has the advantage of not only improving the stability, but also lengthening the durability of the water bed mattress. A plurality of longitudinal air tubes run through the transverse partitions and communicate with an air bag for providing a desired softness of the water bed mattresses to suit an individual user's requirements. Moreover, the disclosed water bed mattress is able to support a user's back bone comfortably, and minimize the quantity of water used for the mattress to reduce its weight.
