  • Publication number: 20070255606
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and a system for measuring customer delivery service. A projected customer delivery date is generated. At least one projected output volume is determined based on the projected customer delivery date. At least one actual output volume is determined, and an accuracy of the projected customer delivery date is determined based on the at least one projected output volume and the at least one actual output volume.

  • Patent number: 7115203
Abstract: A system for treating sediments contaminated with organic contaminants, such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and other contaminants polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) includes treating the sediments with ozone to react the contaminants. The system is particularly effective for remediation of PCBs. In an in-situ system for remediating sediments in underwater sediment beds that are contaminated with (PCBs) and other contaminants, the contaminated sediments are treated with ozone with an ozonator conveyed over the sediment bed to mix the sediment with the ozone. The ozone reacts with the PCBs to form more reactive and biodegradable products. The treated sediment is then redeposited upon the sediment bed.

  • Publication number: 20060163117
Abstract: A method for recovering valuable chemical products from heavy hydrocarbons such as tar sand or petroleum waste products is disclosed and described. Heavy hydrocarbons can be contacted with a fragmentation fluid which includes ozone and a solvent carrier. The fragmentation fluid can be provided at supercritical conditions. For example, supercritical CO2 can be an effective liquid solvent carrier for ozone. During contact with the fragmentation fluid, the heavy hydrocarbons are reduced in size to form a product mixture of chemical compounds. This product mixture typically includes chemical species which are more suitable than the original heavy hydrocarbons to commercial uses and/or further separation to provide useful starting materials for a wide variety of synthesis and industrial applications.

  • Patent number: 6920366
Abstract: A computer integrated manufacturing system executes a program process that performs a capacity planning method that allocates usage of a plurality of manufacturing elements of a manufacturing enterprise by major and minor apparatus, squeezing for overhead cost consideration, and site balance for maintain basic operation. The program process begins by receiving at least one fabrication forecast describing scheduling and types of product lots that are predicted to be fabricated within a first period of time by the manufacturing enterprise from at least one order management system of the manufacturing enterprise. Rolling statistics of products lots fabricated during a second period of time are retrieved from a data retention device of the computer integrated manufacturing system. Capacity planning for the allocation of the product lot predicted to be fabricated by the manufacturing elements is performed.

  • Patent number: 6106725
Abstract: A process for removing lead and copper from drinking water discharged from a drinking water outlet while suppressing the concentration of phosphate ions comprising directing the water through a matrix comprising phosphate mineral with a very low phosphate solubility, and a solid carbonate mineral which is slightly soluble in water. The matrix is sized such that there is sufficient contacting between the water and the matrix to form a lead phosphate precipitate, reduce the lead concentration in the water to below 15 parts per billion, and suppress the phosphate ion concentration to 5 mg/L, preferably 3 mg/L, or below.

  • Patent number: 5665240
Abstract: A process for removing lead from drinking water discharged from a drinking water outlet comprising:(a) directing the water through a first matrix comprising a calcium mineral of between 10 and 100 weight percent of a solid calcium phosphate mineral which is slightly soluble in water, the remaining portion being a solid calcium carbonate mineral which is slightly soluble in water, such that there is sufficient contacting between the water and the first matrix to introduce sufficient phosphate ions into the water to form lead precipitate and reduce the lead concentration in the water to below 15 parts per billion,(b) directing the lead depleted water from step (a) through a second matrix, the second matrix comprising a mineral that when in equilibrium with the water reduces the phosphate ion concentration to 60 mg/L or below.
