  • Publication number: 20190336877
Abstract: A toy assembly having a body symmetrically balanced around a first axis. The body has wheels upon which the body can roll. A flywheel is disposed within the body that rotates about the first axis in a plane that is perpendicular to said first axis. The flywheel preserves angular momentum. At least one gear is provided within the body that transfers rotational energy between the flywheel and at least one of the wheels. The toy assembly can roll as a vehicle or spin as a top depending on whether it is placed on a flat surface or balanced on a salient point.

  • Patent number: 9231567
Abstract: A random number generator and method for testing the same are described. In one embodiment, the random number generator comprises one or more ring oscillator structures, each of the one or more ring oscillator structures having a ring oscillator for use in generating random numbers and having a test structure to reconfigure the ring oscillator into a testable structure.

  • Patent number: 8841974
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed herein for testing of multiple ring oscillators. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises at least one ring oscillator structure having a ring oscillator having an inverter chain with an odd number of inverters connected back-to-back and operable to produce an oscillatory output, and a test structure coupled to provide either an observability chain input or a test input to the ring oscillator and to receive the oscillatory output as a feedback from the ring oscillator.

  • Publication number: 20050236297
Abstract: A packaging system and method for packaging together two sets of chalk having differing diameters. A first container is provided that has side walls and an open top. The first container is sized to receive a first plurality of chalk of a thick diameter. A second container is provided that is sized to receive a second plurality of chalk that has a thin diameter. A pocket structure is formed in a side wall of the first container. The pocket structure is sized to selectively receive and retain the second container. As such, both sets of chalk are individually housed, yet are joined together in a common packaging configuration.

  • Publication number: 20050085156
Abstract: A safety connector that is used on a tether, such as that of a tethered toy. The safety connector has two halves that can be selectively interconnected. The two halves are attached to separate sections of a tether. Once interconnected, the two halves of the safety connector remain attached until one of two circumstances occurs. In the first circumstance, the two halves of the safety connector will separate when a tension force is experienced in the tether that approaches the tensile strength of the tether. In the second circumstance, the two halves of the safety connector will separate when a minimal bending force is applied to the safety connector. Such a bending force occurs in the safety connector if the tether wraps around an object.
