    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for sorting particles and a corresponding sorting device, Thereby the particles comprise at least one constituent and the particles are provided by a flow cytometry device. By using coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) certain characteristics of the at least one constituent are detected. A subsequent sorting of the particles bases on the detection results from the CARS.
