Patent number: 12464220Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods are presented for improving the composition of images. One method includes receiving a first preview image of a scene and processing the first preview image using a first machine learning model to determine at least one direction to move a user device based on a composition score of the first preview image and at least one composition score of a plurality of candidate images. The method also includes detecting movement of the user device and receiving a second preview image of the scene after movement of the user device.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2021Date of Patent: November 4, 2025Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Yu-Chuan Su, Raviteja Vemulpalli, Lior Shapira, Colvin Pitts, Benjamin Weiss, Andy Rogers

Patent number: 10824800Abstract: A method of updating a declarative description of a form in which the declarative description includes a hierarchy of declarations of form elements. The form is displayed by rendering each of the form elements based on the declarative description. The position of each rendered form element relative to the other rendered form elements is based on the position of the declaration of that form element in the hierarchy. An indication of a further element to add to the form and a location where that element is to be inserted into the form are received. The form is updated by inserting a declaration of the further element into the description at a position in the hierarchy determined based on the position, and the updated form displayed.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2017Date of Patent: November 3, 2020Assignee: Think Research CorporationInventors: Ben Hare, Saurabh Mukhi, Andy Rogers, Alfred Wong

Patent number: 8550893Abstract: Trajectory-based games of chance are described that may be implemented on a video gaming machine. In a trajectory-based game of chance, a trajectory of a game object may be generated in a 3-D gaming environment. A wager may be made on an aspect of the game object's trajectory in the gaming environment such as a termination location for the trajectory of the game object. The aspect of the game object's trajectory may occur according to a known probability. Hence, an award for the trajectory-based game of chance may be proportional to the probability of the aspect of the game object's trajectory occurring.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2011Date of Patent: October 8, 2013Assignee: IGTInventors: William R. Brosnan, Nicole M. Beaulieu, Jamal Benbrahim, Anthony R. Escalera, Alexey Kryuchkov, Steven G. LeMay, Jeff Mincey, Dwayne R. Nelson, Andy Rogers, Greg A. Schlottmann

Publication number: 20080154112Abstract: Disclosed herein is a hair-grasping EEG electrode and an insertion tool for placement of the electrode on the scalp. The electrode has a novel two-piece clamping design formed of cooperating halves that capture and tension the hair, pulling the electrode snuggly against the scalp before locking together to anchor the electrode in place. The insertion tool allows easy manipulation and fast and consistent installation without need for lengthy user training and practice. Moreover, the insertion tool assumes some of the functionality so that the electrode can be simplified, allowing a smaller footprint and part count, as well as allowing the non-conductive portions of the electrode to be disposable. Dispensing of electrolytic gel is a convenient option to improve the interface, and this may be readily dispensed from the tool, or from reservoirs integral to the electrode. The combination greatly reduces EEG study setup time and technician labor costs.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2007Publication date: June 26, 2008Inventors: Brian Murphy, Ben Lane, Austin Cox, Alexander Flamm, Andy Rogers, Justin Muratore, Brian Bean, Andrea Leigh McCracken Pringle
