  • Patent number: 9856910
Abstract: A bearing for a hinge in a hinged raked aircraft wing tip includes an outer member that has a concave inner surface and an inner member that has first and second inner segments. Each of the first and second inner segments has a base that has a bearing section extending therefrom. The bearing sections together form a convex outer surface that is complementary in shape to the concave inner surface. A preload feature is positioned between and engages a portion of the bearing sections. A lubricous liner is positioned between the concave inner surface and the convex outer surface. The bearing sections are positioned in the outer member to compress the preload feature to limit axial movement between the outer and inner members to a predetermined magnitude. The preload feature flexes outward as a result of wear to the liner to maintain the axial movement to the predetermined magnitude.

  • Patent number: 7160096
Abstract: A perforation apparatus particularly useful for creating perforations in a foam-in-bag cushion and methods of using such apparatus are provided. The perforation apparatus is comprised of a frame, a main shaft mounted in the frame so as to be rotatable about a central axis, at least one needle roller coupled to the main shaft such that rotation of the main shaft moves the needle roller through a predetermined arc of motion out of and into an operative position adjacent to and perforating a plastic film advancing past the needle roller, and an actuator coupled with the main shaft and operable to rotate the main shaft so as to move the needle roller. Optionally, the apparatus is further comprised of at least one backup roller. Methods of preparing and perforating a foam-in bag cushion using the perforating apparatus are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060226175
Abstract: A coupling assembly that provides a connection between a dip tube and a pumping system is used to remove chemicals from a container. The coupling assembly allows the pumping system to be quickly disconnected from a dip tube in an empty container and reconnected to fresh container where a dip tube is inserted at the point of use. It includes a quick disconnect assembly adapted to releasably interconnect the coupling assembly with a dip tube.
