Abstract: The current invention relates to a method for assembling a silo with a hopper insert, comprising the steps of: (i.) the vertical construction of one or more cells; (ii.) the positioning of one or more outlets underneath the afore-mentioned cells; and (iii.) the connection of walls of said cells to the corresponding outlets by means of a transition plate, comprising: the connection of said transition plate to an inner wall of the cell, covering corresponding four base angles of said cell at a desired angle a between the wall of the cell and said transition plate; the connection of said transition plate to a lower flange, by means of an auxiliary support piece; the positioning of a flat connection plate to the lower flange; and the connection of the outlet to the lower flange.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a silo system comprising one or more essentially rectangular silo cells, each silo cell comprising an inlet part at the upper end, an intermediate body part, a hopper part and an outlet at the lower end, wherein said hopper part comprises a transition funnel restricting the passage from an initial rectangular cross section in the body part to an intermediate rounded rectangular cross section in the transition funnel to a final cross section at the outlet. The inventions also relates to a method for constructing such silo system.

Abstract: Methods for the production of silos based on designs using an algorithm, wherein the algorithm directs a gathering robot arm to gather one or more parts necessary for the production of the silo; and wherein the algorithm directs a welding robot arm to weld at least some of the parts together; and wherein the algorithm directs a painting robot arm to paint at least some of the parts; and wherein the algorithm optimizes the directions for the gathering robot arm, the welding robot arm and the painting robot arm. And systems for the production of silos based on said designs.
