  • Publication number: 20240253676
Abstract: An equipment housing assembly removably securable to a hi-rail vehicle operable to advance along first and second rails of a railroad track includes a housing that houses and/or supports at least one rail sensor. The at least one rail sensor is operable to sense at least one property of at least one of the first and second rails as the hi-rail vehicle advances along the first and second rails. The at least one rail sensor is advanceable from a retracted configuration relative to the equipment housing to a deployed configuration relative to the equipment housing to sense the at least one property of at least one of the first and second rails. A power distribution system is removably and electrically connectable to a power source in the hi-rail vehicle. A control system is communicatively coupled the at least one sensor to control operation thereof and communicate sensor data therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20240247630
Abstract: A fuel injector for liquefied gaseous fuel includes a housing defining a fuel path from an inlet end to an outlet end. A nozzle is disposed at the outlet end of the housing. The nozzle includes an orifice for delivering liquid fuel from the fuel injector and forms a valve seat. A valve assembly is disposed in the housing and is configured to control flow of fuel through the orifice. The valve assembly includes a reciprocating valve body that is movable within the housing between a closed position and an open position. A valve seal is held by the valve body and is formed of an elastomeric material. The valve seal includes a flat sealing surface that faces the nozzle and is configured to contact the valve seat so as to inhibit flow of fuel through the orifice.

  • Publication number: 20240025461
Abstract: A rail testing system comprises a proximal mobile track system and a distal mobile track system. Each of the proximal mobile track system and the distal mobile track system are movable in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction. A carriage is movably coupled to the proximal mobile track system and the distal mobile track system. The system has a sensor pod comprising a roller search unit. The sensor pod is configured to lock to the carriage for testing of a rail. The system includes a sensor array comprising time of flight sensors. The sensor array is usable to maintain an alignment of the roller search unit with the rail.

  • Publication number: 20230236156
Abstract: A roller search unit for detecting rail defects with integrated digital circuitry includes a liquid filled tire mounted to an axle assembly with wheels. An ultrasonic transducer array positioned within a housing is positioned within the within the tire and coupled to the axle. The housing contains transducer interface circuitry operable to receive analog signals from the ultrasonic transducer array and contains digital flaw detection circuitry operable to convert the analog signals to digital signals and perform analysis on the digital signals to detect flaws in a rail. The transducer interface circuitry and digital flaw detection circuitry are configured to stack to provide a compact, small footprint assembly. The conversion of the transducer signals from analog to digital within the tire permits transmission of the digitized data without susceptibility to interference and noise.

  • Publication number: 20230168648
Abstract: Systems and methods of environmental parameter determination are provided. A system can include a data processing system to obtain sensor data, apply a data normalization operation to the sensor data to generate a normalized data set for storage in a database, apply at least one filter to the normalized data set to generate a filtered data set, obtain the filtered data set to generate a plurality of performance indices, generate a digital output that corresponds to the performance indices, and provide the digital output to a client computing device for display by the client computing device.

  • Patent number: 11148998
Abstract: This invention is in the field of medicinal chemistry. In particular, the invention relates to a new class of small-molecules having a dimethyl-nonatetraenyl-trimethyl-cyclohexyl structure useful as therapeutics for the treatment of subjects suffering from disorders characterized by abnormal proliferation and/or abnormal differentiation of cells, in particular of cells of which the growth and differentiation is sensitive to the actions of retinoids.

  • Patent number: 9864519
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing write-with-response operations in a network on a chip architecture. In response to receiving an instruction to perform a write-with-response operation, a writer computing resource of a computing system (implemented using the network on a chip architecture) executes this instruction by performing a write operation for writing data to a memory location followed by a response operation for notifying a notification target computing resource of the computing system that the data has been written to the memory location.
