The front wall is formed with an opening, through which a receptacle inside the housing can be accessed. The front wall is configured in the form of a layered assembly, with the assembly having at least one first front wall element and at least one second front wall element. The front wall elements are arranged with their surfaces substantially parallel to one another. The at least one second front wall element is arranged between the at least one first front wall element and the receptacle of the laundry treatment appliance.
