  • Publication number: 20230300748
Abstract: A wireless station may include one or more processors. The wireless station may receive a no wireless fidelity (WiFi) signal indicating a parameter. The wireless station may also provide a scan signal comprising a scan list indicating a WiFi frequency band that a cellular modem is to scan for a WiFi signal based on the parameter. In addition, the wireless station may provide a mode signal based on the no WiFi signal. The mode signal may indicate that a WiFi modem is to enter a low power mode. Further, the wireless station may receive a detect signal indicating that the cellular modem detected the WiFi signal within the WiFi frequency band. The wireless station may provide a wake-up signal configured to cause the WiFi modem to enter an operational mode, the wake-up signal indicating a frequency of the detected WiFi signal.

  • Publication number: 20230138265
Abstract: The proposed techniques enable dynamic hardware and software (HW/SW) configurations to enable an expansion card to be adapted for use in various original equipment manufacturer (OEM) devices. The techniques use a software-based solution to detect device modes, states, etc. of a device in which the expansion card is implemented by leveraging the device's system resources. In doing so, the need for dedicated hardware pins and general purpose input-output (GPIO) pins, which are otherwise required to detect the current operating mode of the device using hardware-based solutions, are eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20220200432
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to a shaker module for an electronic device. The shaker module may include a movable component that is resiliently suspended in relation to a voice coil by one or more gap-separated pairs of the flat springs. The flat springs reduce the z-height of the shaker module for implementation in, for example, compact electronic devices. The gap-separated pairs of flat springs facilitate adjustment of the resonance frequency of the shaker module substantially independently of adjustments to drop performance, while providing stability against unwanted rocking motions of the movable component.

  • Patent number: 10484788
Abstract: An acoustic transducer includes a passive diaphragm and an active diaphragm. The active diaphragm electromechanically couples to an electric drive element and the passive diaphragm is configured to acoustically couple with pressure changes induced by excursions of the active diaphragm. The active diaphragm has an outer perimeter and an inner perimeter, with the X-Y (horizontal) points on the outer perimeter of the passive diaphragm coinciding on or within X-Y points on at least the outer perimeter of the active diaphragm over a common, orthogonal Z coordinate so that the passive diaphragm projects a shape that falls on or within an area of the active diaphragm. In some cases, the inner perimeter of the active diaphragm may define a bounded area for the active diaphragm, the passive diaphragm having an outer perimeter that axially, superimpositionally coincides on or within the inner perimeter of the bounded area.
