  • Patent number: 10675835
Abstract: A fire barrier fabric includes a first layer including a fleece, flame-retardant cellulosic fibers and a binder; and a second layer including flame-retardant cellulosic fibers and a binder. The fleece may include natural crimped wool. The fleece may include one or more of sheep wool fleece, alpaca wool fleece, cashmere wool fleece, and silk fleece. The flame-retardant cellulosic fibers may be inherently flame-retardant cellulosic fibers. The flame-retardant cellulosic fibers may include one or more of treated flame-retardant cotton fibers, flame-retardant bamboo fibers, flame-retardant viscose fibers, flame-retardant rayon fibers, and flame-retardant silica-filled viscose fibers.

  • Publication number: 20180360227
Abstract: The present invention, in embodiments, is a fitted mattress core covering having a non-woven fabric comprising a plurality of flame-retardant fibers and elastic piping located along an edge of the non-woven fabric. The non-woven fabric, in embodiments, is substantially free of fiberglass, and the fitted mattress core covering is configured to fit over a mattress core such that the elastic piping extends underneath the mattress core when the fitted mattress core covering fits over the mattress core.

  • Publication number: 20180266048
Abstract: A flame resistant textile fabric includes a coating having an expandable graphite, or a combination of an expandable graphite and a nanoclay, disposed on one or both of its first and second surfaces. The flame resistant textile fabrics may be used to make one or more components of a mattress, such as a filler cloth, or fabric fire barrier.

  • Publication number: 20180178149
Abstract: A multi-layer filter fabric includes a first layer that includes a first non-woven fabric and a second layer that includes a second non-woven fabric. Each layer may include multiple webs. The first and second layers have different median pores sizes and porosities, with the first layer having a larger median pore size and/or porosity than the second layer. The first and second layers may be separated by a scrim. The first and second layers are colored or have visible markings such that the first and second layers are readily distinguished from each other. The multi-layer filter fabric is arranged so that a fluid may enter the multi-layer filter fabric through the first layer and exit through the second layer.

  • Patent number: 9469935
Abstract: A high-loft fabric fire barrier is constructed with a substrate comprised of a blend of non-woven flame retardant cellulosic fibers and thermoplastic polymeric fibers, and a layer of nanoclay material extending along and integrated with at least one of opposite surfaces of the substrate, and preferably along both of the opposite surfaces. The fire barrier is incorporated into the construction of upholstered or cushioned items and, in particular, into a mattress.
