  • Patent number: 6032354
Abstract: A device for manufacturing a rotor for an electric machine, for example, a permanent-magnet excited rotor for a high-speed a.c. machine, the rotor including an inner part constituting a rotor body and an outer part including a capsule tube which, when the rotor is completed, surrounds the rotor body with a shrinkage fit, the device including a counter-support (6) for fixing one of the first and second parts of the rotor in the vertical direction, and a guide channel (7) through which the other of the two parts moves due to gravity against the fixed part.

  • Patent number: 5950715
Abstract: In a plate heat exchanger the plate interspaces form first flow passages (13, 15; 15a) for a first fluid and other flow passages (14) for a second fluid. The plates have openings which for one of the fluids form one inlet channel (10) and one outlet channel (10a) through the plate package, the channels communicating with each other through the first flow passages (13, 15; 15a). A by-pass passage (15; 15a) is formed by at least one of the first flow passages and gives a through flow resistance that is substantially smaller than that given by each one of the other (13) first flow passages. In the inlet channel (10) or the outlet channel (10a), or in both channels, a valve member (17; 18; 26) is arranged for setting of a desired flow through the by-pass passage (15; 15a).

  • Patent number: 5666894
Abstract: An embroidery unit for use with a sewing machine, the sewing machine having a lower free arm (19) with a cloth feed dog (20), a column (16) with a drive unit, and a top arm (17) with a needle bar mechanism (18). The embroidery unit has a housing (10) which can be releasably attached to the free arm of the sewing machine. The housing has a first, stationary arm (11) provided with a first, stepping motor driven slide (12) movable parallel to the free arm. A second, movable arm (13) extends perpendicularly to the free arm and has a free end and an end attached to the first slide. The second arm is movable above the free arm between the feed dog (20) and the column (16) and has a second, stepping motor powered slide (14) carrying a hoop (15) which, by operation of the two slides, is movable in two mutually perpendicular directions. The second arm is movable to an inoperative position adjacent to the column (16) in order to enable normal sewing without having to remove the embroidery unit from the sewing machine.

  • Patent number: 5568681
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a rotor for an electric machine, for example, a permanent-magnet excited rotor for a high-speed a.c. machine, the rotor including an inner part constituting a rotor body and an outer part including a capsule tube which, when the rotor is completed, surrounds the rotor body with a shrinkage fit, includes fixing a first of the parts in a vertical direction in relation to a counter-support, and releasing the second part from a location above the first part so that it will fall within the fixed first part under the influence of gravity.

  • Patent number: 4813478
Abstract: A frame or a pressure plate (end plate) has two horizontal sides and two vertical sides and is provided with holes or recesses for fastening means used for clamping heat exchange plates between the end plates. The end plate has only one hole or recess (6a, b; 7a, b; 8a, b; 9a, b) at the upper and lower horizontal side, the hole or recess (6a; 7a; 8a; 9a) at the upper side being located on one side of the vertical center line (L) and the hole or recess (6b; 7b; 8b; 9b) at the lower side being located on the other side of the vertical center line (L). The end plate has at least one hole or one recess (10a, b) at each vertical side such that a line between the uppermost hole or recess on each side of the vertical center line forms an angle with the vertical center line, larger than 0.degree. but less than 90.degree..
